Fair enough but that is easier said then done. That's like saying "yea you just climb Everest then planting the flag is easy peasy."

Exactly. Its like any game, it still comes down to dice rolls most of the time! Plus 66% of games aren't KP's so I don't worry (and in tourneys, even less games are KP's)

Crazy lists are one thing, who you play against is another. I could run crazy lists and still win many games
That's a crazy oversimplification and most necron lists will eat you alive if you try and kill three squads of spyders before addressing the wraiths and scarabs. If you even have the ranged firepower to deal with them. Spyders still have t7 and most likely cover if it's still the early point in the game.
In a vacuum, where your opponent doesn't get any turns, this may be correct depending on what army you are playing. But I don't think this is good advice. Three squads of long fangs won't take out a squad of spyders in cover with average rolls on both sides. Sure, SW armies generally have more firepower than that, but then the wraiths/scarabs are either halfway across the table or well on their way to assaulting you turn 2.
IMO, The best way to deal with those backfield warriors is an outflanking unit or a fast transport to get into h2h with them. This will serve the dual purpose of threatening his scoring units, as well as potentially making the necron player draw back their assault units to deal with the backfield threat.

You really need to take care of the Wraiths/Scarabs first and then move on from there... I had a game yesterday against drop pod SM and he was firing at Nemesor Zahndrekhs unit in cover, with stealth, and over 3 turns he wasn't even able to drop 1 warrior (3+ cover + 4+ RP is awesome!). Best way to deal with them is CC IMO. Of course, thats against this list I run, which is why I love Nemesor. Making stuff stupidly hard to kill is always fun!
