True.

I am actually collecting Dark Eldar and possibly either Orks or Chaos Demons as a third army and I am intending to buy most of the stuff for them new.

FoW isn't really a fair comparison, to my mind.
They have the same problem that any WWII system in that scale has.
That is, there are loads of companies making cheap, decent WWII miniatures. All I need from Battlefront is the rulebook.
One 15mm german/russian/british/american lead soldier is much the same as any other.

That is one thing that is has even more in its favor, but I was referring specifically to Battlefronts own self made minis. I can buy tanks for less if I don't get them from battlefront and none of those manufacturers have raised prices every year in the last five either. So the point is still there. If materials to make minis keep increasing so dramatically that GW "needs" to keep raising their prices up year after year as they claim how come these dramatic increases never seem to impact any of the other mini manufacturers out there?

accept that GW models are expensive but recently I've had a lot more exposure to the prices of other system's models and it is not like they are half the price. I mean a group of 6 or so 15mm tanks from Battlefront is over £100.

Where the heck are you buying minis for Flames of War? 6 tanks for FoW comes out to $75 US which is barely £50. You should easily get twice as many tanks as you have listed for that £100. Even the Tiger tank company box isn't that expensive and it contains 5 heavy tiger tanks.

as of right now i'd say its fine, but not perfect. If they continue the trend with the last few codexes onto the next ones coming out, the game will be oddly balanced for what kind of game it is. Right now its only an issue because the codexes are updated far enough apart for the first ones to ravage everyone because the counter for the new strats arent around yet, or not that easy to do.

Its nothing like 4th ed where it just about evaporated the game out of the universe in a matter of weeks lol
