Well, its been awhile since I posted anything. Medical issues and stress from dealing with immigration services built up and I just burned myself out on 40k. I apologize to folks that enjoyed my updates.

With that out of the way I do have a update but not of the 75th! As Everyone know Admech has recently become a playable faction. I've been a Admech fan for forever and a day, dreaming, hoping, wishing, that one day I could field legions of the Omnissiah's faithful. When I logged on the Dakka and saw that not only was this no longer a dream but that Skitarii vanguard sported 15th century style sallets along with all other goodies with , I almost lost it.

So in the Omnissiah's name I will unleash his legion onto the field of battle. A their head will be me Primus, the first of many to come.

The new Admech stuff looks awesome. I like the darker color scheme that you've got going there. They'll definitely complement your IG well.

Since I spotted the Kastelans, I've wanted to play with these mechanical monsters. I love these big ol bots but I had some gripes about them first off was the proportions, the stumpy arms and waist I do not like. I think I remedied this well, using styrene tubes to extend the waist and part of the phosphor blaster as forearms to maje the powerfist in to well... fists. Little note, the powerfists have little wells that for the chopped off barrel of the arm phosphors nicely.

My other gripe, like that of many others is the head. What I did was take the regular head and saw parts off to make it a armored collar, then I mounted the front portion of the arm phosphor in the hole. This will serve as a base on which I plan to mount head of the FW Thallax. They will be small but I chose to do that to emphasize the towering size of the bots and the fact they are hulking death machines and not thinkers.

Finally had all my stuff come in so I could bring my ideas together!

First we have my kastelan with the FW Thallax head. He came out just as awesome as I hoped he would, his brother unit will be joining him soon and four more later down the road.

Second are my stand in for bullgryn. They are Dystopian legions prussian templars with bretonian men at arms heads. In my regiment they would be Low knights or Knights Moloch. True heroes of Vorradis they are each given massive suits of archaic power armor. While not sporting the advanced targeting sytems, life support, ore ability to finely manipulate object of astartes or inquisitorial suits these make them far stronger and tougher than a average guardsman, able to bludgeon even large monstrosities to death with their heavy maces.

Lastly is my idea for a armored sentinel, much like they Low knights these individuals has proven themselves honorable and skilled enough to be trusted with rare demi knight suits. Dubbed Knight jagers these men and women do not serve as a vanguard like the Molochs but instead serve a scouts and hunters of high priority targets. Less concerned with honor they value victory over glory, this ofter cause conflict between the Molochs and Jager pilots.

I've just read through your thread from the start and I have to say very nicely done. I love the look and paint scheme of your IG regiment as well as their fluff, and the AdMech stuff is looking very promising indeed.

So just a lil quick update. My admech are really starting to get fleshed out, even in their unfinished state they have marched to war for me.

So its been awhile since I've updated and honestly I don't have alot to show for it, but what I do Have I'm quite happy with.

First off I've spend most of my time assembling guardsmen. I now sit at over ONE HUNDRED fully converted guardsmen, and that's just the rank and file infantry. To lead these newly christened squads I needed capable leadership, and that mean more sergeants! Now last time I started building unique sgts I got abit happy and built more than I needed, so I only needed three more to bring the count to ten. I have to say that I really like how they turned out. Speaking of leadership, seargents are great and all but I needed another platoon commander for this newly inducted wave of fresh recruits. I went with the style i used for my first platoon commander with WHFB dark elf legs and scion arms, as they have the ornate pauldrons that give a sense of higher rank. All in all I think she turned out well.

Also new on the block are my final answer to my veteran issues. Puppetswar's beautiful crusader helms fit perfectly on the bodies of Scions. After hacking off the antenna and shoulder lamps, I felt that there was enough of a difference to call it a done deal. I like the aesthetic of the tempestus and really didn't want to change much. I'm still unsure of the backpacks, perhaps a cloak instead and a loin cloth but I think I'd leave it at that.

Lastly but not least is that start of my finalized pain scheme for my armor. I've struggled for literally YEARS with to paint all of my armor and had a breakthrough after some sage advice from Kris over at miniwargaming (Great guy, he does a wonderful live stream every Saturday) My biggest issue was that the heraldry I wanted to us involved black lozenges (diamonds) on a cream field, and i was terrified that this would leave my noble guardsmen looking like harlequin groupies. Turns out I was stressing over nothing, and just needed to use moderation when applying. So as second hand model, this chimera is abit rough around the edges and I goofed abit in places (accidentally smear the wet ink on the drying text ) but overall I think its befitting of a knighworld regiment. I haven't applied the lozenges to the cream portion yet but all in good time.

Its been a hot minute (almost three years!) since I've posted any kind of army update, but I've been busy setting up my first house and all that entails. That said, work has not stopped on the regiment and with the passing of time even more awesome options to really flesh out the look of knight worlders have become available!

So for the veiwing pleasure of Dakka I'm dropping all my WiP shots I've managed to hoard starting with my successful attempt at Ogryn proxies.

You love the T-Rex. Its both a hero and a Villain in the first two movies. It is the "king" of dinosaurs. Its the best. You love your T-rex.
Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

Dystopian Legions, teutonic knights. The company that makes them actually went out of business and I snatched up enough to complete a entire squad with one of each pose left over to possibly cast more for personal use if the line is never revived. Sad because the Dystopian Legions had alot of cool stuff that cpyld have been used for IG with minimal conversion work.
