In college I bought 2 of the dual lightning claw space wolf mini that was released shortly after the new codex. I lost my mind when I saw it and thought it was limited edition or something. If it wasn't a 40min drive back to the shop, I would have returned one. I think I ended up selling one on ebay, which made my guilt worse. The USPS shipping calculator totalled shipping at like $20 bucks, so I charged them $20 for shipping. The actual shipping was like $7.

I still have the other one, never was able to get rid of it.

Again, in college. I bought a land raider. Then I noticed I had $7 in my bank account and had to call my parents and ask for some financial help. Shortly after I got a part time job. The guilt was so bad I took a 20hr/week at $5.45/hr crappy job.

When I buy something expensive I sometimes do not open the box when I get home. If I still feel like I want it the next day THEN I can open it up and start assembling, otherwise I return it. Being able to return something is a great thing, you get the rush of buying it, plus get your money back in the end.

Bought over $300 worth of Hungarians for Flames of War right after I got a paycheck for a huge job I did recently. I had plenty of cash to spare, but I still probably should have saved it for my new car.

Oh well I'm enjoying painting them so far and looking forward to getting in some games so its not a total loss

Well for me it has to be..... Well lets see:

Last early winter: A Bloat thrall for my Cryx.

Then in late winter/early spring it was a box of Ripjaws

After that it was some Dropzone stuff (PHR)

And just a month ago it was a Chimera and a squad of IG.

Free from GW's tyranny and the hobby is looking better for it

My last buyers remorse moment was the Space Marines codex. I don't even fething play them, lol. Such a nice book though.

Probably going to drop some dough on forge world in the not too distant future, and i'm plenty sure the shipping and tarrif rates will give me pangs of guilt.

Today I realized not a guilty purchase, but a guilty sale. About 7 months ago I sold off a bunch of Bretonnia bits. And now I'm sitting here needing them

Ordered the parts to do an Extreme Behemoth for my Khador earlier this week. Was like $85 all together for a character model, meaning it can only make it into 50% of my tourney lists at most. This was after passing up the opportunity to buy a used version of the normal model for $30 at local con last friday. If I had it to do over again I'd probably have saved the $55 and put it toward other stuff I still need.

Ephrael Stern for $40 on eBay. Worth it, but a little guilt.

Pretty much any purchase of models involves at least a bit of guilt, for me. I don't spend much on myself and it's not as if we can't afford the odd drop of a few tens of dollars, so it's not indefensible from a spending perspective. The guilt comes from knowing that I a) don't "need" any models from a gameplay perspective (I don't really ever play) and b) have a decent building backlog and a seriously hefty painting backlog. I could easily be kept busy for the next decade, at my current pace, with the models I already have, but I still want more. When I do make the odd purchase, 9/10 times it simply gets added to the queue eternal.

The guilt isn't overwhelming, or anything - I haven't so little self control that I'd purchase something I'd have to return when I came to my senses. I usually get mild pangs beforehand, dither a bit, then get excited if I decide to go through with it (and am giddy when it arrives - right until I toss it in the pile, to remain neglected for months).

My only guilty purchase lately is 27 dark vengeance bikes. I ordered them and now I'm assembling them asking myself wtf I really needed 27 bikes... Yes I will be playing white scars but still.
