Amen. Also, pitch it to Mantic for a third "face" of the company. Lol. That's awesome and ridiculous. But in the good way.
I need two more centaurs, guys. Also need the following from LOKA:
1 Fire Rook
1 Ice Rook
2 Air Rooks
2 Earth Queens

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

A little late to the party, but my crazy box arrived yesterday, (mantic seem to be swamped, took them more than a week to get it shipped, nice and polite reply from customer service though).
My bundle is a bit different from what most of you guys got though. it contained:
Dreadball:
1x Ann-Marie Helder
1x Dozer
Warpath:
5x Stormrage Veterans
1x Marauder Raptor
1x Marauder Grunt command sprue
Kings of War:
1x Skeleton Command Sprue
1x Elf bowman Command Sprue
6x Basilean cat riders or whatever they are called
3x Ogres with hand weapons.
LOKA:
Green elemental thingie.
A few comments and first impressions. The Dreadball minis are nice and characterful, Ann-Marie Helder is a cool mini, and not the usual depiction of females in games. Dozer is nice as well, and seems to be better cast than Ann-Marie, but then again, Dozer is a lot bigger. The warpath minis are all nice, but I don't know what i will do with them. The Orx are big! Maybe to big to fit in with my upcoming Gorkamorka project, but I'll have to check that. The Raptor is also bigger than I thought it would be. The Forge Fathers are nice, not to sure about the round magazines though.
Looking around on the internet I can say that I am happy I didn't get any Men at Arms. The skeletons are really nice, with a lot of character and care put in to them. The elves are of good quality, and even if they are skinny they are well made with nice detailing. I can't however understand why they went and put large shields on archers?! I also like the ogres despite their stumpy legs. The cat riders makes me confused though, and not in the nice 13-year old boy sees pretty girl way, just regular confused. What happened with these? If you look at them one part at a time the bits themselves doesn't look that bad, but when you glue them together... So many questionable decisions must have been made here, starting at the concept level and continuing through production. I will have to see it as an challenge to salvage the cat riders.
I am very happy with what I got. I have only bought a Balefire Catapult before, so this is my first experience with Mantic's other lines and restic as a material. If they do christmas bundles next year I will probably get one as well. All in all it seems to me that Dreadball is Mantic's most consistent line, both in art direction and quality of design, might have to get in to that...

I like the Mantic Elf aesthetic - very thin and definitely alien in physique and physiology. Check the detail under the shields - you'll see arrows!
On this sprue
you'll see the shield arm actually holding the bow, so I'd assume the arrow are drawn from behind the shields and fired (or the arrows are plunked down into the ground, etc), and the normal archer models are in a march pose (shield with integrated quiver in left arm, right arm with bow at rest)

I have no problem with the aesthetic as such, or the concept of archers with shields, it just feels like they put ordinary shields on them and then added the integrated quiver as an afterthought. The design is not fully carried through. The shields are to similar to the spearmens, they should look more specific.

I have to say that I like the bow-shield design.
Mostly because I like this aesthetic from WoW, and it's broadly similar, though obviously much simpler:
Anyone know of any miniature bows that look more like the WoW bows here? I'd like to pimp out one or two of my Elven Characters for my KoW army...
