We had some trouble with some neds, unfortunatly for them, several members of our group were Royal Marines.
They pointed out the error of their ways, and sent them off entirely unharmed*

Pray to the Blood God for copious amounts of blood, and paint the windows Red. And leave a pile of skulls by the entrance.

You'll get privacy, and any would be trespassers would be frightened away.

reading this thread has really depressed me, this sort of thing happens too much especially to young people who have no confidence in themselves- it annoys me no end that kids (and adults) think that they have to hide their passion for Warhammer and 40K just so they don't get mocked...

I'm really glad to see that you've found a new venue. That was going to be my advice. I agree with everyone else really, if you get any more problems maybe try and get evidence of them doing it so you can build up a case.

Try to keep your head up, the truth is these people who abuse others because of their interests are just totally ignorant and no better than playground bullies.

And never forget- The Emperor protects!

Thanks for the comments and advice people, the group is really enjoying the new place and are yet to run into any troubles. Plus attendance has been higher than it used to be so that's good too.

Reading this thread takes me back to the days where I worked as a part timer in a GW. It was in quite a prosperous middle class town and still there didn’t seem to be a single Saturday where we didn’t have to eject a group of rowdy chav types who had come in to take the mickey. We were on the same road as a Subway and a KFC which didn’t help.

Once a big group of about 10 came in and actually started smashing up the intro boards, stamping on models. I actually had to physically eject the last one from the shop. He even threatened to call the police but never did. It was a pain to clear up and replace them all, but on reflection it was a good thing they didn’t target any gamers playing with their own models. I’m actually very cautious about playing with my models in public areas like shops as a result of incidents like that.

There was even on group that came in a few times because they went to the same school as one of the regular kids who was a particularly small child and albino as well meaning he got bullied allot at school. They knew he played the game and hung out at the shop on Saturdays and so they came in just to pick on him. It really upset the poor lad I guess as he considered the store to be a safe environment.

Christ... I hope you / the store manager / GW HQ got the Police involved, thats serious criminal damage and a financial loss for the store.

Did you report that to the school? I think the onus should have been on the school to end the bullying. And if they washed their hands of it and denied responsibility, I would have made a public complaint to the local news papers and made sure the schools reputation was tarnished by it.

Its bad enough having no choice in going to a toxic school environment with kids you despise and who make your life miserable for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. But to follow their victim home and invade their personal life and spaces outside of school?

Thats the sort of incessant and callous bullying that drives kids to suicide.
