Well the situation changes from Draigo and an apothecary taking down a screamer star to Draigo and an apothecary can take down a screamer star with the help of a vindicare assassin and an icarus Lascannon.

Anytime I TO I have all FAQs updated that morning, and have them on phone / tablet for reference if I need to make a ruling. My memory isnt good enough to remember every ruling, as some are just crazy....
And yes it was a very poorly run tourney. One guy brought 2 vindicare assasins, 2 fortifications (with only 2 troop) and other illigal tidbits.

Last time I fielded a Screamer Star in Vassal they bested a full Paladin with Draico unit (although it took several rounds of combat, the guy was making an absurd amount of 5+ saves)-Tyran
Why 5+? Did none of them have a stave and was he taking none of the wounds on Draigo?
After Draigo and the guy with the stave were dead (it took 2 rounds of combat) the rest of the unit proceed to make a lot of 5+ saves and FNP saves. He charged me in his second turn, and the combat lasted to his fifth turn.
