I am happy someone is able to market something and get it to the masses.

Now if you get your lava rock, pick your orientation, use a cement drill and put a hole in, shadowgraph it (or photo and scale to size and print), cut a clear base to the outline and epoxy together it would be a fine product. Could be a great opportunity to make custom opaque stands that could be 3D printed (import picture and perform an edge find)..
Anyone can make these (I have) so it just seems... strange.

I agree that adding installations to the rocks would be neat and would add to the product.
I was looking at some printed cargo containers like in Tie-Fighter we had to fly around and scan, that would have been cool to.

I guess my issue is, I can look out into my garden with some decorative rocks and in the span of a couple hours I could make what is offered.
Well, sometimes people would rather have others do the building but I thought that was the fun of tabletop war gaming but X-wing takes away almost all the building aspect.
