Oh you son of a... I wish I had the halo set now! I'd put the heavier Marathon class up against a larger fleet! I'd even name it!

I'm figuring on doing a Dark Angels Tactical Sergeant facing ten Chaos Cultists. Even a Spess Muhreen wouldn't really like those odds! It won't be an actual diorama or anything (I'm not up to something that big yet!) but it will give me an excuse to get those figs painted.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

I dunno, you may want a few more cultists. Entrenched traitor guard maybe, but cultists he will scythe down like wheat

Reminds me of playing the Space Marine shooter and having the grots come running at you, bwahaha.

Well, ten is one squad of cultists (I might do the other ten as well, but one of them is already painted. Not that I couldn't repaint him or something (meaning to do that anyway), but 21 models is a little extreme, especially at my slow pace. Also, in the game, those ten cultists would smear the marine. His armor save would not hold out, most likely.

Does a sort of 'Last Stand' diorama work as Never Tell Me The Odds?

I'd have thought so.

Also thinking another option for the heroes to face might be a gang of thugs/insurgents/whatevers, humans with guns but rag-tag rather than zombies or aliens. Can't decide.

I've started with the diorama, like Para said we could, but I won't start painting until september starts. Okay?
