So, less progress this weekend than I had hoped but at least I got a little done. Just some more basic colors. The need highlights and details still but they are slowly getting closer.

A couple squads of Assault guys so far.

A bit less progress on a couple squads of devastators

Some sternguard. Still mostly headless...

Got some base colors on a couple more of my salvaged centurions

Built 6 of my scout bikes. I am considering the head alternatives but they will definitely be in helmets. Not sure what heads i will use yet though

And I got a chaplain built with a magnetized pack

I'll be moving to a new house next week and I have a whole entire garage to myself! I will be able to spread out a bit and make a nice hobby area. Can't wail. Hopefully I'll be able to actually finish a project once I get set up.

I don't have much experience so I dont really know if they are any good. I wanted some homing beacons I could get in place quickly and the scout bikes seemed to be the way.

So, work has been super busy, combined with moving in to a new house. This has resulted in very little progress in anything. That said, I'm super excited about my new work area. We have an entire spare garage and I have laid claim to it.

Here she is as I start to move in. Don't worry. That's only like a 3rd of my stuff...

Putting together my painting area.

And I bought a whole shelf just for my toys!

I also made a bit of progress on some imperial guard, or astra whatever-its-called now. well... not sure if progress is technically the correct term. These were all painted. I bathed them in some purple power and gave them a bit of a scrub. They are now mostly ready for priming. Kind of a shame. I didn't like the paint job it all. It was a good base coat, carefully applied but not something I could work with.

I am drifting back to my naval infantry project. I will likely shift between it and the Raptors project as the whim strikes. I think Ill try to focus on the guard for now and when some new figs come out with 8th edition I'll likely jump back to SM.

It's been awhile. Got some of the easy to build guys and made a couple that I guess aren't quite legal. At the rate I've been going I'll have these guys painted by Christmas... of 2019...

Cool models above all else.

I really like your marines, and feel your pain when it comes to not painting enough.

So, in keeping with my habit of infrequent updates of half-baked unfinished projects here is what I am currently putting together.

Some IG stormtroopers. I dont like the hoses on the hotshot guns OR the fact that they look like rifles with scopes but no buttstock (*best robot voice* "DOES NOT COMPUTE") so I made some mods to suit the anvil industries torsos i gave them

I added a buttstock to a rifle and made him a DM (designated Marksman), and here as plasma guy with somewhat heavier armor

These are the "standard" guys with SMGs. Simple conversions. I gut down the scope to make it a Reflex Site and shortened the barrel. Easy, just takes a minute for someone like myself with little converting skills

Heres a squad leader and a vox guy

so I have like 5 or 6 of the commisar fig so i tried to use one to make a tempestor prime wearing an all weather coat. Ill have to get a head to fit in there and hopefully it will look ok after painting

Can't decide on heads. SOme will definitely have boonie covers but the rest will be in helmets. Its between the FW cadian respirator helmets or just the standard MT helmets.

well, the kid is literally pulling me away from my computer so I guess thats about the end of this update

So I have been busy with work but now and again got to do some hobby stuff. I even got in a couple games. Still, I keep starting stuff but havent actually finished much. Here's some more WiPs

A Hell Hound. Gott build the wheels and paint the turret still.

This is the tank 'Bad Penny". I have some decals still to do on it but I have used it in a couple games. It got its name since it is the only tank that has survived all my games, although it often takes heavy damage. I've given it a whole back story but the short version is, after every battle, like a bad penny it always turns up.

This is the Fat Lady. When she sings it's all over

This one will be called "Hot Stuff". when she shows up on the battlefield things always get steamy.

I have some pinup decals for all the tanks

Here's a Taurox which I will finish up once the heads for my scions arrive

And my favorite flyer. I dont have a name for it yet.

Thanks. In all honesty I’ve been stealing your ideas. I didn’t buy the torsos for my scions til I saw yours.

So work has been pretty overwhelming for the last year or so. I spent this weekend at work (by that I mean I went in Friday morning and I haven’t been home yet. It’s Monday...) Anywyas, I snuck some stuff into my office and worked on it. No telling if I’ll evever paint it.

I made some Berserkers (Wulfen) with primaris Reivers. I haven’t decided what to put on their backs and I am also awaiting some third party bits that “Viking them up”. I may abandon these all together and try again with some AoS Khorne guys as I kind of feel like these have too much armor for the look I wanted.

Group shot

Shield wall. These guys wear more armor and charge in front, protecting their less armored brethren as the close with the enemy.

These others eschew helmets and tend to go into combat bare-armed. The follow behind the shields and, at the last moment, leap forward to hack, slash, bash, bite, and otherwise clobber their enemies in close and personal combat.
