Just an update. I've been MIA for a while trying to finalize my dissertation which I hope to finish by September.

This afternoon I went through my entire Harlequin collection to update them to 8th Ed. Lots of snapping off arms. Luckily it went pretty smoothly.

8 Players with Caresses
8 Players with Embraces
4 Players with Embraces and Fusion Pistols
4 Players with Swords and Fusion Pistols
2 Troupe Masters with Caresses and Fusion Pistols

That gives me 4 squads of:
6 Players (3 Embraces + 2 Caresses + 2 Fusion Pistols)

Exciting and looking forward to continuing work on my Harlequins! So excited about 8th Ed.

Glad to see you back good man for prioritising the dissertation though. Little plastic aliens are important, but some things are importanter

You can't even imagine how eager I am to do some hobby and play some games of 8th! But trying to stay focused... i'm so close...

I've been working on Yvraine. Here are some progress shorts showing the progression so far.

Yvraine looks to be coming along very nicely. Such a lovely model. Looking forward to seeing more.

I must admit, I'm struggling somewhat to work out what to do with Yvraine myself...

Yeah, she's been sitting on my shelf for too long. I love love love the model. She is such a badass B. I've been intimidated by the detail and the model though. But i'm excited with how she is coming out.

Seeing her all zoomed in makes me want to go back and touch up her eyes.

Very nice! It is a bugger when you see zoomed in photos. They tend to highlight all your sins!

Does her dress have a greenish tinge to it? If so, that's a really cool touch

Here is my progress on the Yncarne and Yvarine. Still more work on Yvraine to do, but the Yncarne is pretty much done. Re-based them both to match the Harlequins.

They look awesome. Headliners and harlequins, both. Love that pallette.

Thanks! It took quite a bit of experimentation to finally get the scheme how I wanted it, but I am really happy with how it's shaped up. After toiling away painting gaunts and genestealers, its a real pleasure to focus a lot of attention on a few elite models.
