We're starting to drift off-topic with all the arguing about the law. It's been covered enough; let's keep further posts away from this debate.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

Blinded by the White Knighting.... BTP is 'doing everything right'?

On topic - letting somebody get away with this kind of behavior damages the whole industry of painting miniatures for hire - I have done painting for hire.

You set standards, you show what you are capable of - you do not post images of what you started painting, only to start over with a completely different scheme, based on the fact that you are falling behind on your commissions.

What BTP tried to pull was a bait and switch - they deserve to be told not to keep behaving that way.

Not paying what they were told to pay - by the court - is not BTP 'doing everything right'.

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.

The only person in this thread who has said BTP is doing everything right was VERY specific in saying (emphasis mine)...

From a legal PoV, BTP is doing everything "right".

That's very different from saying BTP are "doing everything right", it just means they are doing the smartest thing to avoid paying. Unfortunately we live in a world where doing everything right legally is not the same as doing everything right.

My question from the start of this thread wasn't whether BTP should be allowed to get away with it.... it's whether $1000 can reasonably be expected to stop BTP getting away with it. Ten has only ever said the $1000 is required to "continue" the process, not "end" the process, maybe he can come back to this thread and just clarify where the $1000 is going in the grand scheme of things.

I understand Ten didn't want to start a GFM but created one after encouragement from people in the other thread, but unfortunately it shows in that it fails to compel people to want to support it, hence why it's only had 5 people give money in support.

Well looks like the army is for sale on eBay due to medical expenses.

Some of them are more expensive then buying them direct from fw and it is more for shipping lol.

Perhaps because they are professionally painted...

I think that's not accurate, I only see a few units. Were those repaired by Frontline? Honestly, I think pics like that would have shown the real results better than the original video, they are really rough. Maybe those aren't the touched up ones, but if they are... sheesh.

Anyway, I'm getting close to the point of locking this thread as I don't think it's fair to tenebre (or any user) to be discussing personal / medical / etc issues. So, let's steer clear of that, please, unless it's to share a note of concern or the like, of course.

I do not think anyone was being mean or asking for information on his medical issues. Just all the eBay listings say he is selling them for medical funds.

Self file the papers yourself. It's a little hard but considering your already won the case this will be easy.

However, there is not much the court is going to do. I'm not a lawyer of course but I am 99% sure they won't put any kind of lien on him. All you can do is get a collection put out on him which he can pay or not and it will hurt his credit. Meanwhile, you spent hundreds more on court and a collection agency. If it somehow they do garnish his wages or put a lien on it he can still just declare bankruptcy.

Go to a website like Avvo, pay the fee and consult with a lawyer but I bet they will tell you something similar.

At some point you just need to accept this is done.

Looks like he's been gradually selling stuff since toward the end of last year rather than just dumping it all at once.

Hope Ten's doing alright, he did mention medical expenses in previous videos so it seems something that has been ongoing.

You don't need a lawyer if you've already been granted a judgement. Go to the sheriffs office, pay the money and have a writ of execution started.

Begin seizure of all assets required to satisfy the debt @ auction.

If the party fails to respond, haul them back to court and put them in front of a judge - in which they'll have to (in full disclosure) go over all their assets. With all the shenanigans, you can directly assault the corporate veil if you show that they are still operating at business with cash flow/assets capable of repaying the judgement.

[MOD EDIT - While I realize you're joking (I hope), please refrain from that line of though here... - Alpharius]

Best wishes to Tenebre in both the BTP action and any health issues. Hope he succeeds and can draw a line under this. As far as BTP goes, this just damages the figure painting profession as a whole, personal reasons or not.
