Well thanks to PETA you must pull off all those velum purity seals from every single space marine you own!

Their president protests against animal-based life saving medication (going so far as to literally state that people should be denied that medication) yet she herself is a diabetic that uses insulin.

Just a petty gripe from someone in pharmacy here - insulin hasn't been derived from animals for a while now, it's all made using bacteria with the right genes inserted.

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy.

Um... might want to rephrase that.

What do you do if you see a space wolf or stormcast model wearing fur, anyway? Throw a pot of Tamiya clear red over it?

Why? There have been documented incidents of PETA workers euthanizing people's pets that were taken as "strays."

The best reply would be saying "Well, we can't get rid of the fur, 'cos in 40k mankind is made up of complete donkey-caves and wearing fur is part of that". But best reaction would be to just ignore thouse retards.

Id be happy if GW dis not send a letter in 40k style with stamps declaring it no, we shall not.

All printed up nicely and made as... Got to send classy letters to utter idiots.

Id be more disappointed if they caved in. Just no...

A wolf that's most deadly hunter going, capable of killing a power armoured marine.

And that's defenceless creature lol.

This is one of the dumbest thing I ever saw.
PETA makes their usual publicity stunt, and the usual ultra-thin skinned people lose their gak.
Gamers in general (mostly video game and apparently wargaming too) seem to have no shortage of ultra-thin skinned people who need to grow up a bit, mature, stop failing for the most obvious of baits, and not go into full unbridled fury at the slightest perceived offense…

If there are triggered snowflakes involved, it's definitely those that wrote, signed, and took that petition seriously. That got to be the most absurd thing ever. GW is known for NOT engaging into any meaningful conversation with its fanbase. They would never listen to any petition, and you should know it. Especially not a petition that asks them to do something that could only hurt from a PR statement. PETA is doing this kind of publicity stunts all the freaking time. Don't you remember the Pokemon one? And the Mario one? And the other Pokemon one? And… They do it because it works. It works because thin-skin outraged gamers spread the word far and loud.

PETA's publicity stunt, while not very clever, definitely is much more cunning and efficient at reaching their goal than that literally useless and pitiful (66 needed to reach 100 LOLOLOL) petition is.

You are the one posting internet petitions asking for GW (of all companies…) to make a public statement against PETA. If there are triggered snowflakes involved, you definitely are among the most triggered. Unless you were posting the petition on jest while not supporting it …

Not a irrational reaction.

All they need to send is a polite neatly made up no letter to Peta.
No fuss, no anger just a firm refusal.

What a great idea! So that then, the media can write tons of article about it, giving PETA more publicity, and encouraging them to that kind of things again.
I mean, great idea if you are a PETA supporter. If you are a PETA hater, that's the dumbest idea ever. Personally I'm quite neutral toward PETA, but I am completely appalled by how thin-skinned AND short-sighted PETA haters that want to promote that petition are.
Because if you looked at all the stuff we could petition GW to do, and you decided the most important was not terrible price, not terrible rules and imbalances, not the canning of a whole game (RIP WFB), but answering on your behalf to a publicity stunt, you DEFINITELY need to grow a thicker skin, and try to learn to ignore trolls.
Also still 66 needed .

Does anyone know how hierarchical PETA is ?
Are these sort of letters the result of well planned tough out media strategies by large teams of experts or is any person in their organisation free to do whatever as long as the net result might just be less animal cruelty.
For it seems that they completely misunderstand the whole distopian nightmare part of the setting.

Seeing how easy it is to manipulate people makes me lose my faith in humanity more and more. Especially with recent political stuff…
