Generally Mark VII power armour, helmeted. A Marksman's Honour badge (bullet hanging off of a gauntlet, gun, or shoulder pad), and some general wear-and-tear on the armour and paint scheme.

Now, the Ultramarines being the standard codex adherants that they are, i'm sure Falax Orestes can be assumed to have all the standard markings and colours on his armour due his particular position. And so if you wouldn't mind I'd be interested to know exactly what we should expect Falax Orestes' armour to look like. Colours, markings, insignia, the works. It's all rigorously codified if I'm not mistaken.
Yeah, albeit with chipping and scratching in places.

Orestes would have blue armour overall. Golden trims and aquila, for 2nd Company. White Ultramarine logo on shoulder pad, as standard. The other shoulder pad would have a white Tactical arrow on it, with the roman initial for 3 (III) in black imposed over the arrow, if possible, to signify the 3rd Tactical Squad of the Company. The III symbol may also appear in white on the kneepad, if unable to be placed on the shoulder pad.

I've not had much luck with transfers if I'm honest but it'll be a good time to learn

What transfers come in the tactical squad box set these days?
I have a bunch of old space marine transfer sheets if you had any use for them.
Never liked them much myself, prefer to free-hand it but its not always worth the effort for the often sub-par result and honestly so much easier just to use a transfer if you have one. But hey, isn't stretching your skills part of what this whole shindig is about?

Veteran Tactical Sergeant

Taking an awesome pose at all times, something akin to this:

Foot up, fancy gun held out shooting, sword arm outstretched towards the floor.

He has a power sword 'gifted' to the chapter buy the ultramarines (so preferably one of the swords off the upgrade sprue) and a plasma gun also 'gifted' by the blood angels. Also If you could have his raised leg on a pile of helmets from other chapters ('gifted' of course) that would be cool.

Rumour has it that he looted his weapons off of dead allies, and that that was what earned his promotion. But that's preposterous, the weapons were given freely by other chapters to him because they we so impressed with his performance, and his exceptional prowess in battle is why he was promoted. DEFINITELY.

Paint in the usual colours (except for the weapons) and have a white veteran helmet with a red laurel if possible, with little to no weathering except for mud on his boots, on a base like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na26t36C7X4&index=2&list=PLiJtsRTurhod4_XvfuoKEIvvRaYrqdHnn

I'll try my best to emulate what's here but I've never modified a model like that.
As for the specifics I may not have enough models to justify the pile of helmets. I do however have a pile of skulls on order.
Power sword shouldn't be an issue but you may have to settle for for a plasma pistol

Again I'll try to accommodate you as best I can

I'd complain that there's no Guardians of the Covenant on your list, but to really pull them off you need the red robes and I don't expect you to buy a DA vet box just for them or doing some crazy greenstuff work.

Crimson Fists
Brother Miguel
A survivor of the disaster on Rynn. Although a long serving member of the chapter, he refuses any advancement along the chain of command as penance for his perceived failure to protect Rynn from the Ork invasion. He still carries a battle scar on his helmet and bolter as a reminder of those bitter days. He is currently helping to rebuild the chapter, finding new worlds from which to recruit. He can currently be found in verdant fields, pushing the next generation of the chapter to ever greater feats of stamina and skill.

This is a more extensive version of my Space Marine project:
https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/718535.page

I'm still working on the Space Wolves (haven't been very inspired to finish them). My goal was to have 1 Tactical Marine from each Chapter that has rules in a Codex (non-FW) plus 1 "special" Marine for each. Bikers for White Scars & Ravenwing, Assault Marines for BAs and Ravenguard, fore example.

Project is coming along.
Stumbling block at the moment is myself.
No one on here knows me but i suffer from some mental health issues that can lead to depression and anxiety.
One of the things that happens before i have a period of that is lack of motivation and lack of energy.
I do intend to complete the project but with my head the way it is at the moment i need to focus what energy i have in getting better first.

Another problem i have which might be linked to whats above is ups and down in skill level.
Maybe its just my own tendancies to see fault in everything i do (another symptom of my depression) but the few models i have been working on i just cant seem to get them up to the same standard of these others. Which is a vicious cycle of feeding into the problems i have.

Fear not though, when it passes i'll still be working on it.

Hope you're feeling better soon

I can entirely empathize.. I, too, have those fits of depression and anxiety, and the grand lack of motivation around those moments. We are all our own worst critic, I know it certainly doesn't help when I've posted something and it goes weeks with no commentary.

Your skill level is good, you're doing awesome work. That, and it's a hell of a self-challenge to do all this work.

Thanks for the support guys.
I am trying my best.

I think i might break up the project a little.
I have a Tau XV88 on my table that needs painting.
