hello guys,

I have been on vacation for two weeks with no internet connections, So my apologies for not updating any progress. anyway I am back with some lovely pictures. i finished painting my Wendighoul king and continued with: 30 fire warriors,10 pathfinders,1 fire-blade, 6 stealth suits,1 broadside and a lot of drones.

I also got a bloodwrack-medusa from a friend of mine which was already coated, But she had a butter-face from the spraying so i' 'had'' to replace the face with an spare witch-elf face(it looks a bit weird but that's what you get when its not the same color) and re-based her.

In further news: i am going to start a second aos one (even though my first army isn't even finished like a lot of my projects ). They are based on Dutch/Belgian folklore called in dutch: De Bokkenrijders. they were a band of robbers in the 18th century who were believed to ride bucks(which were in that time associated with the devil) through the night sky. the models will be from the free guild and all will be painted with black clothes and a red scarf and their banner will all have a burning goat leg (which was their trademark sign but without the eye on the picture since it looks like a goose on the picture).
Off course i can't keep calling them De Bokkenrijders since its not so well known on a international level, so i will call them Schwartzwalders which is German for dark foresters, But then again all the old empire cities had German-like names.

and last but not least i am going to build a Khorne berserker with a giant axe, No seriously it will be ridiculous anime huge.

Oops, Missed one

For today i have built some extra models for my Schwartzwalder army (just another general on foot and a army standard bearer). i also digged through my pile of shame to find and built(and kitbashed ) A dark vengeance dark angel captain, A stormcast blightwar character, A Redemptor dreadnought and a funny little OOP Skaven from the screaming bell (probably for DnD purpose if i ever started doing that).

I also finished painting a lord of khorne. and for the rest not much special beside adding some tufts on my ghoul king's base.

For the rest i will just continue painting and building stuff and see where it ends.

I'm back again with some more models and a WIP.

For the model part i have been modifying two characters from the AOS range: Skarr Bloodwrath and Horticulous Slimux. For Skarr i removed his hair knot and flails and added some wings and for Slimux i re-improved his mount's face and teeth into a more grim look( I will add some roots cracking through his shell when i have the time and inspiration to do it), I also gave the Schwartzwalders general a head for his horse, Sadly not the one i was hoping for but it is acceptable. I also got myself a typhus.(not really special since he won't be kit-bashed).

Now talking about the WIP for he is special to me since it was the first model i posted on this blog, It took me a while to get halfway(cough cough pile of shame and other models cough cough) but I am happy to see him in color.

For the rest I am just painting and waiting for the Shadespire box since its quite a fun mini game to do and the models are looking lovely( I might make the Bloodreavers purple since one of them looks like skeletor ), Is anyone else going to buy the box and if you do what will you play?

As for today: i have finally finished my Heretek magus, It was a bliss painting him. I got myself one of the new Death-guard models: the Foul Blightspawn. i only swapped his head since there were not much conversion possibilities and his was butt ugly. Continuing on the Death-guard topic i made a Nurgle raptor lord (of flies) which quite resembles my Nurgle deamon prince (which you can check in my chaos gallery).

Furthermore i have managed to get my hands on a finecast Galrauch: the first of the chaos dragons. I always wanted one for my chaos fantasy army, but it was quite expensive and metal(yuck), Although he needs to be fixed and based i am quite happy that i got him now (I might give him a human flesh color like its from doom or silent hill )

This week was an quiet one on the hobby front,But i still managed two models for show. The first one is my Yncarne and the second one is a Biologus Putrifier that i painted for a little challenge.

Well........That kinda was it for this week, I also going to renovate my room over two weeks so most of my materials and equipment is temporally stored but i will try to build and paint some more random projects.

boundless08 thanks, I tried to do a bone color-scheme on the armor but ended up with a creamy white which really stand out with the red wounds and pus.

Continuing on: I have been quite busy with packing up stuff for my renovation next week and found a bunch of models and kits from various places of my pile of shame.(which will be now named as shameverest). Lets begin.

First: I have assembled a wolf lord for my small 13TH company space wolves force( one of my secret armies, More pictures will come after the renovation). The model is mostly from a spare Geigor Fellblade of the burning of Prospero boxed set (yes i have two of those). Being on the 13th company roll i am currently painting some Wulfen, They will have a bit pale skin with dark grey fur with red wolf markings

Second: I got a little bit ill this week so i decided to try and please Nurgle by making some Nurgle spawn from crypt horrors. It will be a squad of five since i need to buy the flesh-eater-courts starterbox three times(something with over a 100 ghouls and three big beasts).

Third: My favorite things i have built so far, Deamonettes of Slaanesh. I have built these from secondhand witch-elves i had lying around (geez how much stuff is there in shameverest). i also trimmed down their noses as a homage to the metal Deamonettes everyone loves so much. i also made a small herald from the witch elf sorceress.

Fourth: as last but least i finally found my failcast (finecast but we all think the same way about it ) harbinger of decay, I really love the model so i will build him this coming week.

Its been a while but my room is finally finished so we go back on track.

With not so much time and mood i managed to get started on my herald and Deamonettes of Slaanesh, the skin is almost finished and i slowly staarting on the pink amour, white-like cloth and gold bits.
I also got myself a deathwatch marine for a competition in my store (and customized it a little bit). I wanted a intimidating marine so i took a head from the Primaris Reiver kit and added a servo skull.
For the rest i started painting some other models i have previously build.

PS, After these models are finished i will continue with more Slaanesh and Tyranids (what will be lots of fun since i need to paint over a 120 hormagaunts ). So now you know what content there will be in the coming weeks.

Now back to business.

After getting my deathwatch marine i decided to get another one in the dark angel style also with a Thunderhammer( i really like hammers ). It is still missing its legs because i took the wrong pair of legs which don't fit thanks to his cloak.

In the meanwhile i finished the skin of the Deamonettes and started on the pink armor (which is going to painted with 5 sorts of pink paints). After that i only have to do the gold,loincloths,eyes and base.

Talking about bases i carved my Harbinger of Decay's base out to give it more depth and it will acts as a basin for the water effects.

I also have a little task given by a friend of mine, she wants a female marine head for her deathwatch marine, I will use a Deamonette head with a Cadian respirator (which i already did once for my storm of iron character kroeger)

And finally lets's talk about the Tyranids i mentioned last time.......well I got all my 120 Hormagaunts (600 points ) assembled and ready to be sprayed. Its going to be a pain but at least my first step after the base-coat will be easy, They will be sprayed with Mechanicum grey and then shaded with Nuln oil.

Thanks supreme overlord, I'm currently stuck with the dragons legs so when i get my inspiration juices flowing i will return to it.( it might take a while) For the gaping maw horror,The head is actually the torso maw is a pink horror mouth from the chariot of Tzeentch.

It's been a calm week with a lot of bad weather (it was so bad I wasn't able to spray my Gaunts ) so I only built some models and continued on painting.

I made a little Goliath gang for display purposes and didn't change much except swapping weapons and giving the gang leader a chainaxe.

As almost usual I continued on my Deamonettes. The pink armor is almost finished (just need to do two more pinks) and I started with the hair and eyes. when that's done I only need to do the fabrics, bases and gold bits and i'm done with the first 10 and the herald.(then i need to do another 20 Deamonettes, 10 terminators, repaint 10 noise marines and paint a herald on Steed of Slaanesh)

And now straight from M.T.Shameverest: My 3rd chaos knight WIP, he will be armed with 2 Gatling cannons and the anti tank rocker launcher.

I also started doing Kitbash/Conversion commissions at my FLGS in trade for Bitz, I will be able to supply my Bitz cabinet and I get to build fun stuff for others so it's a win-win for everyone. And off course I will post those pictures here too

It's been a busy week (thanks to my work) with not much time for my hobby, but I managed to do some things.

Lets begin with the almost regular Deamonettes updates( I really want them to be done next time ) now have the 5th layer of pink on their armor. Its now just a matter of finishing the gold, silver, loincloth and they will be finally done. After that I need to make another 20 and paint their herald of Slaanesh (which will be presented next week). Its my medusa which will now serve a purpose.

Continuing on the painting subject. I also painted my dark angel Templar as a distraction (procrastination) from my Slaanesh models. I decided to give him light colored armor to test my green armor for my Tau.

Now off to the building section:

Last time I was busy with a chaos knight. It's not yet finished but the main construction is done and it is now waiting to be decorated.

I did my small and simple commission of making a female death watch model(nothing special just a head-swap) and she was pleased with it. i'm now currently waiting for my next commission so i will just wait and hope i get something more challenging.

I also continued building things from M.T.shameverest (It never ends ) . this time something more smaller and simple, a terminator captain and a exalted deathbringer. i also made a knight head for future color schemes.

Its been a great week. I have finally finished my deamonettes (yey finally something new).

now that they are finished I can now start on my nids....... If it wasn't such a bad weather outside . So for now I'm painting a few characters from previous posts including the 1st deathwatch marine.

I also continued with my M.T.Shameverest, Where I found and assembled an FW ( yes i have fw in my shame) chaos Ogryn beast handler, The changeling, And a Esher ganger on a big base as a objective for my nids.

And now a funny story: I happen half a year ago to gain quite a few(easily 1250 points worth of) spacemarine kits for free, which I will not use for my imperial fists (which I also have to paint but my nids first ). A few weeks ago I was discussing with a friend of mine what to do with them and he jokingly said to make hello kitty marines( ). since the dutch had their own one that was a bunny (who is called miffy) I said I would rather make those. I knew it would be a waste of marines(even though i lgot them for free), We started to get a bit fired up with making them and he came with a bet: If i beat him in a battle he has to make a 1000 points hello kitty marines,If i lost i had to make 1000 points army Miffy marines. Since I rarely lost against him and just to make him shut i agreed and we played..........And I lost .
As a man of my word( and betting) I had no choice but to do it . So here I go making miffy marines it will be a simple but perhaps effective army for local tournaments which probably get me a laugh and props for getting a bit of the dutch culture into the game.

What a lovely week and merry times it has been.

I finally have sprayed my Tyranid swarm army for the coming end year tournament. I will definitely not win the best painted army but I will have a army of a whopping 128 (say what ) models as a 1000 points army on the table. although they are now black the progress of painting them in three colors(they will be layered after the tournament) should be easy, I will start with spraying them with mechanicus grey, then paint the carapaces with Stegadon scale green, paint the scything talons black, paint the teeth with Leadbelcher and shade everything except the carapace with Nuln oil. after that i will paint the bases with Rakarth flesh.

In meantime I continued painting the Harbringer of decay, It is such a joy to paint this model since it has a lot character and something mysterious. It's almost done and I have already poured the first layer of water-effects (no picture of that ) on the base. after that i will add some shades and goop effects on it and add some leaves before continue with my Tyranids.

Well since it's also a holiday i received a little bag of Bitz from a friend of mine to fuel my kitbash/conversion engine. It contained a lot of Deathguard Bitz and a few OOP models from the Skaven and Beastmen range(which i will paint sometime next year).

Whelp that's it for today its perhaps this is the last post of this year.

Happy new year,the best wishes and lets have a great 2018,

First of all I'm very happy to see that we reached over 3000 views . That is just awesome so lets keep going.

I've been very busy in the last few days before the end of the year and made some resolutions. The first one is a ''small'' one: painting 1000 pt worth of Tyranids. yes with a total of a whopping 128 models its going to be my first and foremost challenge to do that but i will get myself a proper painting light so i will be able to paint home through the week and do other stuff in the weekend(so perhaps more than one update a week ).

My second resolution will be (trying to) shrink down M.T.Shameverest. I started just after midnight with a Beastmen Shaman. And with that i will start building and paint until its nothing....or until the great unclean will be released.

My third resolution will be finishing my projects that have been stalled by distractions (AKA new models). and to prove it I have finally made some limbs for my beast of blood oak forest. i decided to sacrifice my old slaughter brute for its limbs as a core for the limbs. When they were glued on the new model i covered the gaps between the limbs first (see between the hind legs) before I covered it all with roots and branches. When covering the limbs I realized that the beast's left was too low and deformed to be a normal limb, so I made it look like it was draining materials from the ground to reform itself after a serious injury.

With the front arms and neck done i only need to cover it's hind legs and make a tail but i ran out of dryad bitz so i will be waiting for my buddy on Friday who will give a pile of dryads so i can finish the beast. I also saw that it is actually becoming quite a big model so I thought perhaps rule-wise to make count as Alarielle the Everqueen since its the only model I can think of that has a 160 MM base (and they share similar height). Of course it would be a bit off if there was no rider on it so i took a Branchwych and made it look more terrifying. I might add some spirit hosts on he branches of the little tree on his back to make it look taller, but I'm not sure so you guys can help me with that should i add them or not? ( please include your opinion why) if the spirits get on it they will get their arms removed.

This week was a quiet one where i worked further on my beast. I'm almost done with covering the rest of the limbs excluding the tail and additional add-on's (like spirits and basing), for the rest i made some Sylvaneth units (from M.T.Shameverest) with a matching theme to go along with the beast (which means skulls for heads with roots sticking out). I also changed the arms of the rider with a more serious heroic pose.
off course the also get their own names too. So i will start naming a few units now: The banshee's of the misty mangroves (spite revenants), the drowned of Rotwood (dryads) and the Dreadmire herald (Branchwych).

Well that's it for today next time i will be painting some Tyranids and continue building Sylvaneth from my M.T.Shameverest.

I accidentally missed a week of posting (work work and work) so my apologies for that. Now for this post there is not much exciting stuff except I finished my deathwatch marine and continued with my beast.

I also gave all my Sylvaneth units a sunken base to add dept for water effects. As for the beast, I have almost finished the model's branch layer and added some leaves on his back. In addition I made some dryad spirits from the spirit host kit to maybe be placed on my beast to add more height or make them count as objectives.

And great news: my new hobby lamp has arrived! Now I can finally paint at home and perhaps rush through my shame-mountain like a box of cookies .

For this week I got not much special since I'm still busy with same models.I kept adding moss and tuft on the dryads and almost finished the tail of the beast. I also continued on painting a objective and a succubus.For the building part I managed to fix a Beastlord with a two-handed axe and built a Wraithlord. Also an update from my first Kit-bash-client she's almost done with painting and was kind enough to send me a picture.
