Death and Destruction both need a some new stuff, to be honest.

Being a boring nerd, I actually made a list of what new kits GW has released for AoS (not counting legacy kits; things that got released during End Times or earlier). Stormcast Eternals alone have 23 separate kits (counting multi-kits like the Paladins as single entities), more than the totral amount of Chaos at 22 separate entries, counting Blades of Khorne, Disciples of Tzeentch, Everchosen and the new Nurgle guy.

Destruction has six, and Death has... one.

"Hey Steve, we still got these molds for Forest Goblins with Hand Weapons that I found in the vault, under the other stuff from '96. You think I should tell the design team they're sitting on a platinum mine?"
"Nah James, they have to come up with this stuff on their own. Put it with the rest for now..."

On a serious note yes, a thousand times yes. Battalions that NEED multiple factions to work, and could provide ALL units within them with each other's keywords (Orruk units also count as Gitmob and vice versa or something).

Which kit did Death get then? my count is still at a big ol' zero. Or are you counting a preview here?

I'm actually cheating a bit, since it comes with a Zombie Dragon or Terrorgheist, but the Abhorrant Ghoul King.

... unless that thing's older than I thought, in which case it's a flat zero.

I kinda wish we have something new for Everchosen. An expansion of the Varanguard perhaps. Not just units on Daemonic Steeds, other units too like winged beings, infantry with gifts from all 4 Chaos Gods.

Other leaders acting as extensions of Archaon's will like Mortarchs do. Maybe raise the stakes. One of the leaders being a corrupted Stormcast or something.

Or a new female chaos character comparable to Valkia. Call her a daughter of Archaon though her true origins are unknown.

That is a very good set of ideas, would love to see any of these.

Death wise, I want to see events in the background played out to their model range conclusion.

In short? I'll spoiler tag for safety

Spoiler:
Nagash isn't especially happy with Sigmar, as the Stormcast prevent Nagash collecting his due.

But, he's incredibly intrigued by the Stormcast. In their making, he sense a form of Necromancy, albeit one purer/debased from his invention. The subjects retain their full intellect, and don't appear to come with downsides compared to 'regular' Undead.

And he's got a pet Stormcast now, one he's intending to peel like an onion to understand how they are, as well as what they are.

Natural lead on from that? Nagash is able to refine his own Necromancy in a similar way, leading to enhanced Undead of some kind - perhaps with the wits and strength of a Vampire, but without the troublesome willfullness?

They could go really crazy with Death and release a sub faction based on deep sea dead like the Saratosan vampire.

They could use floating wrecked galleons like the new dwarves and units could be based on ammonite fossils, Plesiosaur skeletons and bones crushed into diamonds by the high pressure.

There are 9 Gaunt Summoners in the lore. Thus far, we have two unique models (On Disk of Tzeentch, on foot) and three unique warscrolls (On Disk of Tzeentch, on foot, and on foot with familiars) for them. I'd love to see six or seven more unique models released. I'd also like to see the on foot model packaged with some familiars so you don't have to have Silver Tower to run that option.

I'd like a Chaos Sorcerer who looks like this dude.

The Mortarch idea sounds great, like a fantasy-version of the Chosen of Abaddon... why do those guys not have models, while we're at it?

I've missed my chance with the old Fantasy. Having coherent High Elves would be welcomed. I hope they don't go overboard with the new elves. I'd like to imagine that the old sculpts will not look completely out of place with the new design.

I would love to have for Death GA, a book for the Deathlord faction, with some traits and battalions as well.

Maybe add new deathlord battleline unit. A good 10 model unit would be fine and a cheap Hero to go with the morghasts

Soulblight.

I Want Soulblight with more Blood Dragons, with the return of Vlad and Isabella Von Carstien.

Outside of that I want proper Werewolves for Death. Not not ware-bats. Gothic Horror Werewolves.

That would be cool. Doubt it though. I don't think anything generic is on it's way and I doubt any but major characters will be returning.

Well the thing is werewolves are already a chaos unit. (Even in Bloodbowl)

So unless it's the resurrected corpse of a werewolf I have trouble seeing Death with them. (Though that doesn't stop proxies and head canons of them left behind from the chaos invasion or the like)

Honestly I would love to see Vlad and Isabella comer back as more Mortarchs. Could lead to vanity rivals between Isabella and Neferata. Fun plot point. I can also see the plastic TK monster kits return under Deathlords too, to bulk them out.

Honestly knowing GW, they could easily make them a bit more unique, such as Undead Skin Wolves for example, that would appear to feel apt, considering the Malign Portents release coming soon..

Hmm, I'm on the fence about Vlad and Isabella. They kinda deserve their final rest together after all they've been through but if they come back then they could live happily in the realm of Death with a world that fully accepts them.

Malign Portents has a lot of Death potential in anycase and I have my fingers crossed for the playerbase to be satisfied with the releases.

Quite a few of the living worhip and/or serve Nagash and his Mortarchs - especially Neferata - she has a huge spy network and the living defend her city alongside the dead. She also like worship and adoration.

Vampires need the living to survive, so it was in the World that Was so it is in the Mortal Realms

Some prices are worth paying for

But Yeah If Vlad and Isabella come back I could see some distrust with Nagash after Manfreds actions and being part of the same bloodline, but I could see proving themselves worthy of being Mortarchs. Could just add to progression of the Death story imo

Indeed. The plot angles those two bring would be excellent to play off of in any official or fan made story.

Oh indeed, there's many examples in the lore with even the Flesh eater court being living people rather than undead beasts, it just didn't cross my mind for one of the Mortarchs to take advantage of that and I'm fully for it.
