DA NIGHT TEKZ
The 3rd and final of my existing Rebel Grot warbands is the Night Teks! Made of gretchin who love to tinker with all sorts of tek.
These guys represent my veterans for my Hades Breaching Drill squad and are armed with shotguns and 2 meltas.

Very nice, I am curious how the drill is going to look like.

Kolonel Grotskull's prized mech suit; Da Red Gobbo is currently received some upgrades. They include a Gatling Cannon, Rokkit Launcha and an optional battle cannon.
I may also make an anti-air gun for the carapace at a later date.

I have my own Looted Imperial Knight, but is nowhere NEAR as impressive as that!

By far my most devastating unit in my Grot Rebels at the moment, the Cyclops Demolition Vehicles or as the grots call them "Splosive Kartz".
Originally they were purely for fun but now their brutal.
40pts for a toughness 6 4 wound model with a 3+ save that moves 10". When it goes off every unit (friend and foe) within D6 take 2D6 auto-hitting Sgt 9 AP-2 D3 damage to the face!!!



The problem is I'll need to make more and I can't use these Kromlech models at GW events, so the question is what do I go for; convert them as Junkrat's Riptide from Overwatch using Trukk wheels or try and create some sort of robotic squig?

My Basilisks are assembled however the Doom Diver from the 2nd Baslisk needs a vapour trail, a friend has offered to experiment with dipping sponges or clump foliage in resin or blowing bubbles in it.

The Quad Launcha modification is ready, personally I feel it's a downgrade from the original Laser Batteries.
But at least these models will see some use. If I could use the heavy bolter rapier I'd go with that instead as the weapons would be ideal for representing a quad heavy bolter compared to 4 strength 5 blasts.

As cool as this is, the foliage is still fragile despite several coats of PVA so I'm going to try coating them in resin.

Yeah, that might do it. You could also try coating it in PVA and then spraying it with water with a drop of dish soap before it dries.

I was a bit sceptical when you said you were using Blood Bowl Goblins as Doom Divers, but they look great. As for a question, do the Grots fit into any organisation outside of their warband/squads/mobs?

I showed weakness at a recent trading night at my local gaming club and walked away with 2 mek gun kits.
Looking over the sprues I found away to update my existing Rapier Laser Batteries.
What do you think? I'll likely convert the gunz themselves into basilisk platforms or quad mortars.

The Grot Doom Divers explode into action, serving as the Grot Rebel's main artillery by representing my Imperial Guard Basilisks.
Seemed a good idea after all you roll 2D6 and pick the highest for number of Earthshaker cannon hits, to me this sounds like the kind of accuracy that would come from a Doom Diver.



The Blood Bowl Goblins worked brilliantly for converting Doom Divers. The smoke trail was the most difficult part as I knew if it came out poorly it could have a negative impact on the model. Fortunately for me I was able to get some help from a friend who excels at airbrush effects.

Those count as bassilisks are pretty enough to make a middling modeler and painter like myself put down the paint brushes for good and just admire other people's work. Great job!
