If imperials where setteled on a necron tomb world that would be a great loss for the nids. Nothing to eat once the cultists draw them there. But a lot of cassualeties.

Drawing Xenos in to hard battles?

Now you've given me an idea!

In RT many Genestealer Cults would ally and merge into Chaos Cults out of pure pragmatism.

How about an Alpha Legion Dark Apostle that seeks out Genestealer Cults, subverts them into chaos cults, then goes on his way to his next target.

The genestealer/chaos cult get seeded in such a way that when the hive fleet shows up to claim the planet a warp rift opens up, causing a huge, stagnating war of attrition between the forces of chaos and the hive fleet.

By having chaos 'save' the planet from the hive fleet, it kind of fits the "Who are they fighting for anyway" and "Massive pain in the backside for the Inquisition" AL themes right?
