Hello again all!

Quick update:

Painted my ahriman up. I used purple because, well, I realized I had no blues in my paints... so I have a slanesh looking Ahriman. But ya know what? He looks neat.

Next up, I finally based and finished my blightlords. My wonderful wife also took some photos for me with her DSLR!

Also got some more photos of previous models done

PBC new photos

And last, but certainly not least, Rattle the helverin got some paint I think he turned out excellent

On the building front I kit bashed two bikers (pics to come), also built 21 more Plaguebearers including a custom instrument bearer, three plague drones, and 9 more nurglings. I also have two normal demon princes, which my goal is to prime all of this in the next week or so.

Stay tuned!

Howdy everyone,

So wanted to post a quick update. I'm in the flood/hurricane area for hurricane florence, so had to evacuate; hopefully all my stuff doesn't get lost in the storm, but what can you do? More important stuff had to come over my models. That said, I wanted to post an update at what I got finished before I had to hightail out. I'll post an update whenever I'm allowed home as to what survived!

Heres one of my Undivided Demon princes, he has a magnetized right arm with all options available

I also changed all my objective markers to double as nurgling bases

I also used three plague drones to make actual plague drones! One with axe/mace is the leader, then we have a banner (Instrument bearer will be with my next group whenever that is)

My second poxbringer, influenced and inspired by Dark Souls...

Second plaguebearer squad instrument bearer; its a blind, peg legged plaguebearer with a nurgling drummer. Hard to see in this pic

And last, but certainly not least, two Chaos Biker Lords; one is Power Axe/Combi-Bolter, second is a Power Fist (or lightning claw) + combi-whatever. Both are super kit bashes

C&C as always is welcome

Howdy all,

So made it through Hurricane Florence! After getting back home, I was without power for 4 days, had a hole in my roof (flooding in my aster bedroom/bathroom), but otherwise nothing really got damaged. So I had a bit of time to paint... so behold my two Black princes; Undivided demon princes with magnetized weapon options. Both are used for whatever non-nurgle demon prince option I want. I tied all four of the gods primary colors into the scheme, and I think they turned out pretty good! Just need to flock them and paint the weapon arms.

Painting otherwise is slowing down; I have a couple other large models to paint, but its mostly masses of troops (rest of my cultists, new plaguebearers, etc.) so probably won't have another update for a lil bit. C&C is always welcome!

So slight update...

After the nerf to Tzeentch (poor dudes), I'm gonna focus more on the Nurgly bits. As such, I invested in buying a Renegades box which is supposed to be here monday Will give me a good basis of a Renegade Knights detachment, having 2 Helverins and 2 Knights. Pretty excited to get converting these beasts into Death Guard knights

Howdy all,

So my Knights came two days earlier than expected

Using the magnets and GS I had on hand, I started on one... this is where I got to (NOTE: HEAVILY CONVERTED!!!!)

I used the following in my conversions:
- Chopped off claws from Plague Drone arms I had leftover, made teeth and "hair" for the skull
- Skull came from the piece of terrain that came with Renegades, I cut it off and filed down parts, then filled with GS
- Knee Mouth is the belly from a Blightking
- Codpiece mouth is a shoulderpad from a plague marine
- the shield emblem is a filed down Blightking shield
- Pilot thats mounted in his chest is the banner from the Pusgoyle Blightlords

I also converted a second Gatling Cannon; needs some GS to finish hiding the Q-tip tubes though

This used a Havoc Launcher, and the parts to the Thermal Cannon, plus some Q-tips chopped down to make the basis for the length. I'll GS around the Q-tips to make it look cohesive.

C&C is always welcome, my goal is to have this finished this week with the second one right behind (the second one will be far easier, I am using most of my bits on the first one )

Howdy all,

So been hard at work spending many hours working on my two Knights of Chaos... and my efforts have borne fruit!

Behold the first completed knight; dubbed "The Hallowed One", this knight is a work that would make Papa Nurgle proud...

Here are some pre-primed close ups for those interested

As you can see, everything is magnetized, and heres some shots of some of the weapons

And finally, my pride and joy: I call it the Thermal Gatling Cannon! This weapon doubles as either a gatling cannon or a thermal spear.... kinda lame Renegades came with only a single damn gatling cannon :/

So my thought process behind The Hallowed One was I wanted the Knight to be much more organic and fleshy, with metal being less prominent. I also wanted to test myself doing demonic iconography for the first time, and doing a lot of bulbous flesh and things. I think he turned out pretty neat, I especially love his face leg and shoulder

The second Knight I think I'll call "Dominus Putridium", which I guess is latin for Putrid Master... anyways, I wanted metal to be the highlights of this guy, with a lot of sharp angles, damaged metal, like a demon was aching to burst from him at any moment. I think hes pretty damn cool!

He is also magnetized, so everything is interchangable. I also made sure both halves are magnetized, so I can separate the knights for easier transport.

Heres a group shot of both with weapons on; obviously loadouts will vary...

C&C always welcome

The GS work you've done on the Hallowed One is fantastic, the whole model looks excellent.
Dominus Putridium looks brilliant as well, and I like that you've varied both of your knights. His helmet reminds me of a plague marine which is neat!

Thanks for stopping in! Yeah, I loved the mechanicum head on the terrain that came with Renegades, so I figured I would use it for something (I'm selling the terrain to someone else, he was cool with me sniping the skull)

Now that you mention it... yeah, I guess he looks very plague-marine esque.

I just wanted one to feel like he was more machine than demon, and vice versa, kinda like how I did the Armigers.

I'll be taking one of these to my next Battle report game (its up in the Batt reps forum) and I'm so torn... I love the look of both. Putridium will probably be the one I take though, mostly because its a very death guard centric list and I'll need the powers of nurgle to win against 4 knights

Howdy all,

So some more updates. My wife surprised me with tons of plasticard, some droppers for my paints, and another get started nurgle set! So I was able to build some new stuff, I also traded the terrain from the renegades box for a box of bloodletters.

First up, some bloodletters modified with tails

Secondly, I was able to complete a full 6 Plague Drones building now, so... awesome! I might want 3 more eventually to complete a unit, I used my first box tko convert two demon princes (and traded the third for a ton of bits when I was new)

Lastly, I started painting on the Knights! This is about 4 hours of progress, with a lot of tweeks based on some local feedback

Then I got more feedback and someone gave me the excellent idea to water down Ryza Rust to get some depth in my shades of rust....

My brother said it looks like it was dredged up from a swamp on dagobah... so I'd say thats pretty successful! Looking for some feedback before I progress onto the details

Dang! I love those Knights!! Fantastic work -- particularly the conversion and greenstuff-ery. You can practically smell the chaos reek coming off of those creatures.
What I particularly appreciate about your work is its narrative dimension. Corruption and consecration to the Ruinous Powers should be... well, ruinous. More than a matter of slapping on a few icons or spikes. It should be a process that wrenches and re-constitutes its engines and vessels. As you have done here. Well done, sir.
