Subject: What character do you think will become the first Primaris?
A man makes his own personal army of heretics. A man is brought back by Xenos who also tried making Imperium 2.0. The person he claims makes him not a heretic is conveniently unable to talk. Sounds like mega heresy to me.
Didn't he received backing from the woman who got wings, halo and immortality thanks to the Emperor's gift? If everybody needs to be traitor for your version to be true, maybe you are the traitor and not the other way around. In the meantime, I would follow the literal angel over what's kosher or not.
Celestine's a little hellion. She doesn't take this whole martyrdom thing seriously and keeps coming back from the dead, and lately hangs out with hot xeno chicks.
Better to follow (at a respectful distance) a pious Battle Sister instead, surely?

I haven't read every bit of "dark imperium" era fluff (because what I have read has been mediocre at best), but I haven't seen a single reference to Marines being turned into primaris. This seems to be a concept totally made up on the internet and not by GW.
I still believe the only reason true marines won't be entirely replaced by primaris is if they keep selling better than the new guys. I certainly don't expect to see any new marine releases outside of primaris for the foreseeable future. (however GW have left themselves a get out of jail card in that regard, as they can always release mk9 armoured non primaris in the future).
it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

I'll link the video on facebook (can't find it anywhere else), and at around 20:25, Pete Foley says: "They're certainly not all bred in test tubes... what's cool is even Space Marines, existing Space Marines, can be adapted into Primaris Space Marines using some of that same technology".

That's pretty much straight from the designer, which I think is a fairly solid bit of evidence.

And I repeat, several Black Library authors were then asked this question on various social media platforms by fans and they all came back with the same answer- They were told specifically NOT to write about this.
Now, what this means is anyone's guess. It could simply mean that they are waiting for GW to tell them which characters are rather than them doing it and GW having to work around that.
It could also mean GW backed off the initial idea.

The stream is literally from GW higher ups, the ones who created the Primaris in the first place. It's canon.
As I see it, GW have said it's possible. They've probably left it unexplored by writers for the moment, because they're waiting to revamp a character with the Primaris treatment, but don't know who. When they do, they'll release a tie-in book, I'd bet.
In my headcanon, and he won't be the first Primaris upgrade character, but my Ultramarine homebrew leader will be promoted to a Captain or Chapter Master of a new Primaris Chapter.
