Be there or be square?

We weren't even testing for that.

I'm interested in this based on the mechs / hard tech alone. Can't wait to see what else is there for those.

We'll be running demos at Spiel this week. If you're at the show and want to try it out we're in Hall 2 and the booth is F113.

When you join my command, you take on debit. A debit you owe me personally. Each and every man under my command owes me one hundred Nazi scalps.

Any idea if there will be Super-Soldiers for both sides?

You'll play the Allied specialists sent in to deal with all the weirdness. You'll be OTT kick ass heroes and can pick up weaponry as you go, but you won't be 'super soldiers'. At least not in this first season. If we do future ones then who knows.

I'm not too upset given the game's current format, but if/when there's a 'proper' tabletop mini wargame, then I'll "need" Proper Super Soldiers!

Some very cool minis

I see the Germans are bringing the crazy to this battle... as they rightfully should.

More of those, less of the normal!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I think we've already shown off all the normal when it comes to the Nazis. There's not much of it.

I like everything seen on those Essen pictures!

The german heavy weapon trooper looks great, as do the wheelchair general.

The german sorceress (?) looks intriguing, any better pictures available of her?

Is the doggie a good guy or a bad guy? Please be a good guy, I don't want to shoot him...

The hero guy with a hatchet and pistol, does he happen to be a Norwegian? *cough*viking*cough*

edit: I like the ordinary germans, seeing them alonside the weird war stuff makes nice contrast.

I was afraid of that.

Well, fortunately all of the heroes weapons (including grenades) shoot tranq-rounds when aimed at animals.

At least that's what I'm telling myself... "The doggo is fine! They will take him to the farm!"

Well then, the allies just need themselves a heroic doggy to put that fascist in its place!

Perhaps a bulldog?

Hey, I don't think you can blame the doggy for the bad stuff going on. He's just following the orders.

I played the first mission today at a convention.
Overall it's quite fun, in the same vein as zombicide and others heroes vs horde of AI games.

An interesting thing is the two phases of the game, at first you have to minise the noise you make, as each noisy action makes you roll an amount of dices and compare the result with the draw of a card. If the result of the dices is less than the number on the card nothing appens, else most of the time ennemies will spawn.
This phase lasts for 6 turns (or less if you make too much noise), after that the alarm is automaticaly triggered and you have 4 turns until it's game over. Ennemies are spawned in each uncleared room and they start to go after you or regroup on ralliment points

A thing that I liked is the health system, when you get attacked you roll your defense dices and if it's lower that the attack stat of the ennemy, it's not just "you lose 1hp", you have to draw a wound card and compare the number on that card to how much you failed your defence, if it's lower you get a penalty written on the card (like "can't use items" or "can only do move actions"). You die when you get 4 wounds cards.

About the dog, it's a "nazi dog" because the ennemies of the game are nazies not germans, so they felt that it shouldn't be a german shepherd.

One of those days it's going to be Klaudia. I believe.

Those greys are masters, right? Not actual production models?

The minis at this point are 3D prints. There are plastic production miniatures for Mythic Battles and Joan of Arc if anyone wants to compare.

I'm a big Weird War II fan.

And I'm really looking forward to this, but I'm trying to temper my enthusiasm, hoping that the Production Boardgame Plastic Miniatures can come close to the Painted Resin Masters...
