@Captain - The effort to point ratio on Conscripts is... unfortunate.

@Theophony - The lenses are really simple, too. Retributor armour, with Blood for the Blood God over the top.

Another four hour Sunday stream down - two models finished, three more started, and progress on another nine. I'll settle for that, even if viewer count was low.

WIP

"Gnome Illusionist" from Antediluvian Miniatures - Definitely not the Dungeon Master from the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon... Started getting some basecoats down on him.

Dwarf Pirates - Blades became Steel, gun barrels became Gungrey.

Techmarine - Shaded red. Painted chapter pad Celestra, then Ulthuan. Went over everything non-red and non-skin with German Grey, then washed it with Nuln Oil.

Wookiee Warrior - I may have been weak, and picked up the Wookiee Warrior blister pack this week. Basecoated with Umbral Umber, drybrushed with Battlefield Brown. One was then drybrushed with Bloodstone, the other with Gun Corps Brown. Bandolier basecoated with Bootstrap Leather, blades & shoulder pad with VMA Steel. Not quite a one-stream paint job, but I'll get them done on Tuesday.

Completed

Navigator's Guild Terrain (Guild Ball)

Tress Hacnua (Imperial Assault) - Sotek Green with Coelia Greenshade over it works surprisingly well...

Goal Progress
66/365 models completed (7 games, 5 manufacturers, 1 unit, day 62)
16 models to paint for Imperial Assault

Last night saw another stream - about an average number of viewers for a Tuesday, though it did see me picking up my 450th follower over there, which is a nice little milestone to clear.

I managed to finish off a couple of models, and progress a few more - including the return of a Dark Lord from the WIP box...

WIP

Darth Vader - I'm trying for a quick Vader here. Basecoated all the model bar the lightsaber blade with German Grey, then washed it with Nuln Oil. Once that had dried, I went back and went over the armour panels with Nuln Oil Gloss. May need to wash the cloth with normal Nuln again, though. Also, basecoated the lightsaber blade with Retributor Armour.

Dwarf Pirate - Beards and hair! I ended up with two guys with brown hair, two with grey, two which will be black, one blonde and one with auburn hair. I'm planning on shading the metals between streams, and then I can work up one group at a time.

Dungeon Master - After a little research, realised the DM in the D&D cartoon wore two tones of red. The brighter red is GW Mephiston Red, the darker is Warcolours Red 5, both washed with Agrax Earthshade. Trim and hair will be next, I think.

Techmarine - Started basecoating metals with VMA Steel and Gungrey, as well as part of the Mechanicum icon with Celestra Grey. Need to go through and tidy up a few bits, and check if I've missed any important metal bits.

Completed

Wookiee Warriors - I may need to reshoot this picture with the Wookiees further back in the booth, as their pose caused more shadow than I saw at the time.

Goal Progress
68/365 models completed (7 games, 5 manufacturers, 1 unit, day 64)
14 models to paint for Imperial Assault

@Briancj - I'll be honest, Brian, I was kinda using it as a reason not to paint black - but I'm happy with the finished piece.

@amazingturtles - Just don't try and get into a debate with them, unless you're a protocol droid in heavy disguise...

@Captain Brown - Work happens, Captain. Eventually it eases, though, and you'll be able to paint again

Another stream down, two more models complete, one more started. Have also been doing more prep work, with two more =][= Stormtroopers, a Vostroyan Officer and two older Space Marine Captains in need of basing and/or undercoating. Will probably try to get the Stormtroopers ready for Sunday's stream, as they're a quick paint.

WIP

Dungeon Master - Hair (Celestra Grey), staff-top-crystal (VMA Aluminium) and trim-on-bright-red-robe (Rakarth Flesh) all worked on tonight. More trim to come, along with book cover and maybe some freehand...

Dwarf Pirate - Shaded 7/8 beards & hair, along with the pistols and swords. Started to block further colours in on the first set of four.

Murne Rin - Another Imperial Assault hero, who I undercoated last month. VMC Royal Purple for the underrobe, and P3 Beast Hide as a basecoat on the skin.

Completed

Darth Vader (Imperial Assault) - Getting no shrinkage on the Blood for the Blood God on the lightsaber blade was a relief.

Techmarine

Goal Progress
70/365 models completed (7 games, 5 manufacturers, 1 unit, day 66)
13 models to paint for Imperial Assault
15.3% towards Imperium goal

Sunday stream was quiet today, which means I can focus on what I'm doing. As a result, got two models from start to finish in one four hour sitting, as well as sorting the basing on some others.

WIP

Dungeon Master - Just added the green gem technical to the top off the staff.

Aquaclops - Started on this guy over a white undercoat. Mostly shades so far, apart from the rock. Biel-Tan Green is the main colour so far.

Feralgeist - Focus went a bit weird on this one. As with the Aquaclops, I worked over a white undercoat. Hexwraith Flame is interesting.

Dwarf Pirate - Nearly finished this one off, until I noticed that I missed his collar. Still working on the others from his batch of four.

Murne Rim - Washed the skin, metalled the gun, added black to the eyes and basecoated the outer robes.

Vostroyan Officer, Space Marine Captain, Dark Angels Captain - Painted the bases on these three today, ready for me to start on at least one of them next time.

Complete

A pair of Inquisitorial Stormtroopers

Goal Progress
72/365 models completed (7 games, 5 manufacturers, 1 unit, day 69 (dude...))
17.4% towards Imperium goal

@Briancj - I still think painting white is worse, but painting black is still annoying.

@Ezki - Thanks for the follow, Ezki. And yes, I keep things moving

@Captain Brown - Got to try to get a bit ahead of the curve now, as I know I'll be missing streams later in the year.

* * *

Streamed again last night - was anyone else underwhelmed by the GAMA reveal? I kinda was thinking we'd get more than a BSF expansion in a preview slot.

WIP

SPEHSS MARINES!!1! - Not a huge amount of progress on any of them, but progress on all three. Basecoated (most of) the armour on the DA Captain; torso armour and skin on the Mentor Legion Captain; and hair on Lieutenant "Twenty Degrees" Calsius. Shall try to basecoat his armour next time out.

The Emperor Protects! - Basecoated the skin & trousers on the Vostroyan, as well as the trousers on the Tallarn. Not that two more Platoon Commanders are what I really need, given my 8th ed roster already has a Company Commander and no less than six Platoon Commanders already

Dwarf Pirates - carried on working on three of this group of four.

Aquaclops - Added some variation to the scale colours, as well as basecoating his claws. Want to add some more colour to the scales, probably using Athonian and some more Biel-Tan.

Murne Rin - Shaded the pistol, picked out some trim, basecoated the toenails, worked on the robe a bit.

Complete

Feralgeist (HORDES) - Reasonably happy with this guy, though I could've managed a smoother transition between the Hexwraith Flame and the NightHaunt Gloom.

Dwarf Pirate (Black Scorpion Miniatures)

Goal Progress
74/365 models completed (9 games, 6 manufacturers, 1 unit, day 71)

Really quiet stream tonight, which was a little surprising. Still, got some work done, which was handy.

WIP

Space Marines! - Much basecoating, mainly of armour. Also picked out the ribbed areas with Skavenblight Dinge, so everything is ready for washing (I think Nuln Oil in both cases).

Dungeon Master - Highlighted the hair, picked out the ring unde the gem with steel, basecoated the staff and book cover.

Murne Rin - Highlighted blue belt & lower robe trim; washed blue and purple robes with Drakenhof Nightshade and Druchii Violet respectively; washed foot with Agrax, washed gold trim with more Sepia; basecoated staff with Aluminium.

Dwarf Rogues - Second set of Pirates. Mainly basecoating colours in, though I'm not sure how I'm going to tackle this parrot.

Vostroyan Officer - Basecoated a couple of areas while I had some Gungrey on the go. Need to do some research...

Completed

Aquaclops (Retro Raygun) - quite happy with the eye, oddly.

Dwarf Pirates (Black Scorpion Miniatures)

Goal Progress
78/365 models completed (10 games, 7 manufacturers, 1 unit, day 73)
Achievement unlocked: Complete miniatures for 10 games or board games

Another quiet stream today - though not as quiet as the last couple, I don't think. Still, was fairly productive.

Before getting onto today's progress, I did get around to putting the =][= Stormtroopers and Poxwalkers into the cabinet...

WIP

Chaos Familiar - Started on one set of the four Chaos Familiar sculpts from Silver Tower today. This little guy got the furthest along.

Dungeon Master - Painted the wood up on his staff.

Dwarf Rogues - Need to paint the parrot on one, and the coat on the other.

Space Marine characters - All three got a Nuln Oil wash over their primary armour colour. When that dried, I used Celestra Grey as the base for white on Calsius and the Mentor Legion Captain, then went back to add Caliban Green for some green areas on the Mentor Legion dude that I'd missed. DA Dude got a brown basecoat on the feathers in his... helmet, before painting the sword blade with German Grey, washed with Nuln Oil.

Completed

Dwarf Rogues (Black Scorpion Miniatures)

Murne Rin

Goal Progress
81/365 models completed (10 games, 7 manufacturers, 1 unit, day 76)
12 Imperial Assault models to paint (and/or repair)

Slightly busier stream last night - I think I'm far enough along to either introduce the Blacksmith's Guild to the work area, or to throw together a Catachan Special Weapon Squad with Flamers to blitz on Thursday.

WIP

Chaos Familiar - Really like how my feathered friend is coming along. Shaded the robe with Agrax; basecoated the quills with Screamer Pink; painted the beak with Steel Legion Drab and P3 Jack Bone; painted the "skin" with Meredius Blue before shading it with a mix of Turquoise Ink and Coal Black; picked out the eyes with Mephiston Red; painted a belt pouch with Mournfang Brown.

Dwarf Rogue - Mainly got to finish the parrot off...

SM characters - Worked on picking out various areas of not-main-armour-colour to isolate which bits I do need to work up for the main armour colours.

Completed

Chaos Familiar (Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower)

Dwarf Rogue (Black Scorpion Miniatures)

"Gnome Illusionist" (Antediluvian Miniatures)

Goal Progress
84/365 models completed (10 games, 8 manufacturers, 1 unit, day 78)
9/51 Silver Tower models painted

@Captain Brown - Aye, he is from a Kickstarter which was inspired by the cartoon, looking at what the kids might look like a further 10-15 years in the world of Dungeons & Dragons. It may also have included not-Venger, and some appropriate Orcs...

@ChaoticMind - They are cool, aren't they? The only downside is getting two sets of four figures, so they'll be coming back through down the line

Not the busiest of streams for Theme Tune Thursday, but that meant I could crack on with some less-interesting elements without feeling like I might be boring people. Plus, still managed to finish off a couple of models. The Q1 goal is definitely in sight! And I'm off to Warhammer World tomorrow!

WIP

Moonface McGee - Another Chaos Familiar from Silver Tower. Did a second coat of Averland Sunset on the face, and came back later to add a first coat on the arms. Shaft of the weapon was picked out with Battlefield Brown.

Walking Book - AKA Chaos Familiar 4. Basecoated the legs/tail/bookmark with Screamer Pink. Basecoated the cover with Macragge Blue. Added a second coat of Rakarth Flesh to the pages. Shaded the cover with Drakenhof Nightshade.

Knight-Questor - Highlighted the plume (I think? thing on his helmet) with Mephiston Red. Unfortunately, that means the cloak is the next thing to work on :(

Catachan Special Weapon Squad - New project! Six old metal Catachans, three with flamers. Painted the bases as per previous article, to the point where they now need a shade. Trousers painted at the same time, and the skin has had a first coat.

Blacksmith's Guild Forge - Terrain piece from a team box, which has been WIP for a while. Read a guide to doing the coals in a magazine earlier in the week, so started by basecoating them with Skorne Red.

Blacksmith's Guild - Started the skin on four of the remaining five players from this box, with a pass of Midlund Flesh.

Some work to do before next stream - wash the Catachan bases with Agrax, and add the second coat of Midlund Flesh to the Catachans and Blacksmiths. Might even wash their skin - not sure yet.

Completed

Harvey Birdman (Chaos Familiar, Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower)

Dwarf Rogue (Black Scorpion Miniatures) - must remember to get a group shot of these four.

Goal Progress
86/365 models completed (10 games, 8 manufacturers, 1 unit, day 80)
10/51 Silver Tower models painted

Had a fairly quiet stream today, and unfortunately didn't get quite so far as I wanted to on the Catachan squad. Still, I finished off a couple more figures, and I think we'll get the Catachans next time out.

WIP

Moonface McGee - Added a second coat of Averland to the arms, then shaded the yellow with Cassandora. Worked the wood up with Steel Legion Drab, Rucksack Tan and a shade of Agrax. Picked out the blade of the weapon with VMA Steel.

Catachans - Lots of non-metal things painted. Boots (German Grey, Nuln Oil), vests (Greatcoat Grey), leather (Mournfang Brown), decorative bits (Mephiston Red). Skin had a second coat of Midlund Flesh between streams, as well as being shaded with Reikland Fleshtone. Bases were shaded with agrax, and the edges tidied up with Abaddon Black.

AT-DP - Not gotten too far with this one. So far, undercoated black and basecoated with German Grey.

Completed

Chaos Familiar (Silver Tower)

Blacksmith's Guild Forge (Guild Ball)

Goal Progress
88/365 models completed (10 games, 8 manufacturers, 1 unit, day 83)
11/51 Silver Tower models painted

@Captain Brown - Thanks, Captain. Nice to get a WIP that has been hanging around a while out of the queue

Stream numbers are a bit odd for last night - got a nice raid from a Swedish streamer, but only a few people actually talked in chat, and viewer count tailed off over the course of the session.

WIP

Moonface McGee - Tidied up the black areas. Shaded the steel. Based the severed helmet with Aluminium, before applying a first coat of Seraphim Sepia. Painted the boots/gloves with Castellan Green, with an Athonian wash. Picked out the bells with VMA Steel.

AT-DP - Celestra Grey. 2 coats on the cockpit, 1 on the legs. Will try to get it smoother before my next stream.

Tech Priest Enginseer - Tidied up undercoat with Warcolours Black Undercoat. Applied first coat of Cryx Bane Highlight to the base.

Complete

@Captain Brown - Why thank ye, Cap'n. Didn't manage to polish anything off tonight, but we did make good progress on a few pieces.

WIP

Davith Elso (Imperial Assault) - Last of the PCs for Campaign Mode. This guy was undercoated this afternoon, but his scheme lends itself to a quick paint. Basecoated almost everything with German Grey, then went over the blue areas with Macragge Blue. Skin was Midlund Flesh (x2) with a Reikland Wash. Lightsaber blade was basecoated with Aluminium, while the handle was basecoated with Warplock Bronze. Remaining grey areas were washed with Nuln Oil.

Probe Droid (Imperial Assault) - The two I had to repair were undercoated today. Basecoated German Grey, then drybrushed with VMA Gungrey.

Knight-Questor (Silver Tower) - Came back to this guy after a suggestion that I go with a blue cloak. Basecoated with two coats of P3 Cygnar Blue Base, ready to shade and highlight from there.

Blacksmith's Guild - Three male players had their trousers basecoated with P3 Gravedigger Denim. Two then had their hair basecoated - one with Rucksack Tan, the other with Steel Legion Drab.

Enginseer - Worked up the base as per the earlier guide. Basecoated the skin on the face while I did so for Davith, and added some Skorne Red to the robes when I picked out the brick on his base.

Bits not photo'd - Added a second coat of Celestra Grey to the legs of the AT-DP, and a second coat of Seraphim Sepia to the severed Stormcast head carried by Moonface McGee.

Fairly quiet stream, where I wasn't able to raid the usual suspects as they're at Adepticon...

WIP

Moonface McGee - Shaded the bells, as well as the Stormcast head. Used VMC Royal Purple for the trim on his robes.

Streamed again last night, which was quiet, yet productive.

Quick note on one set of goals I have for the year - I'm trying to finish an average of one model per day for the year, while still managing to finish an average of a model per day in each quarter. This means that any excess I finish in a quarter gives me a cushion on the annual goal, but doesn't help with the next quarter's progress.

WIP

Tech-Priest Enginseer - Picked out a few metal areas with Warplock Bronze & Brass Scorpion, as well as tidying up the panel over his mouth. Washed all the Gungrey with Nuln Oil.

Poxwalker - Started another set of 6 EZB Poxwalkers. Painted up the bases off-stream, before tidying up the feet with Ulthuan Grey and washing the skin with Reikland Fleshshade. Will probably go around the edge of the base again before next stream, as well as checking I haven't missed any flesh areas.

Completed

Knight-Questor (Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower)

Chaos Familiar #4 (Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower)

Imperial Probe Droids (Star Wars: Imperial Assault)

Goal Progress
2019 Progress: 100/365 models completed (10 games, 8 manufacturers, 2 units, day 92)
Q2 Progress (4 models completed, day 2)
8 models to paint for Imperial Assault
13/51 models painted for Silver Tower

Every so often, a spot of housework is required - as a result, I spent some time this week tidying up my painting area. While I had it tidy, I took a group shot of the 100 models I've finished so far this year:
Spoiler:

Last night's stream was quiet, again, but I did manage to start a couple of new projects. Didn't finish anything, but I think I'm set up to finish off six or seven models on Sunday. I'm heading down to Salute tomorrow, so I won't get to prep any more stuff for that stream.

WIP

Tech-Priest Enginseer - Shaded the leather, bronze/brass and red cloth with Agrax Earthshade. Used VMA Steel to add some contrast in some areas. Started working on the Mechanicus symbols on the axe and backpack.

Poxwalkers - Carried on working on the skin, using Druchii Violet, Seraphim Sepia and Athonian Camoshade. Also basecoated the areas to be metal with my Warcolours Black Undercoat.

Anvil (Blacksmith's Guild) - Basecoated the beard with Menoth White Base.

New projects!

Ryza-pattern ruins - Hatch - Basecoated the edge of the hatch with P3 Cryx Bane Highlight - need to drybrush it with some highlights, then pick out the bolts before shading it with Agrax. Not entirely sure on the point of this bit of terrain, admittedly.

SC2-M Repulsor Tank - Basecoated the whole tank and pilot with German Grey. Added two layers of Celestra Grey to the pilot, before washing him with a thinned blue/black shade mix. Need to plan out my colours for the tank, then I can push forwards with it on Sunday.

Did a day-trip down to Salute yesterday, for my first time attending it. Amusingly managed to fail to meet any of the other Twitch streamers there, so I obviously managed to roll a 1 on my Perception check. Picked up a few bits and pieces, including a couple of KR cases.

This did mean I was a little low on energy for today's stream, but I concentrated on finishing off some of the WIP stuff from Thursday.

WIP

S2C-M Crewman - Highlighted the top of the helmet, shoulders, gloves and chest with Ulthuan Grey.

Completed

Tech-Priest Enginseer (Warhammer 40,000)

Poxwalkers (Warhammer 40,000) - takes me to 12 Poxwalkers completed in 2019, for a third legal unit.

Goal Progress
2019 Progress: 107/365 models completed (10 games, 8 manufacturers, 3 units, day 97)
Q2 Progress (11 models completed, day 7)
24.6% towards the Imperial goal
14.2% towards the Chaos goal

Last night was a bit of a tough one, after a couple of nights of not sleeping too well, and a long day in the form of Salute Saturday. Still, I got through the stream, and finished a unit which had been WIP for the better part of a year.

WIP

Ahsoka Tano - Lots of basecoating. Looking at the picture, a couple of areas need tidying up, and I need to figure out how I'd doing the hair/headdress.

Ryza-pattern Ruins - Basecoated the "outside" side of the two barricade sections with Cryx Bane Highlight, using multiple layers.

Completed

Ninjas (Test of Honour) - Picked up the Foundry Oriental Flesh paint set to do the skin - need more practise with it, I think.
Spoiler:

Actual Ninjas

I think you should have posted the 'empty' Ninja base, and marked the unit 'completed'.
