We're in for three crates - pledged while Kids of War was going on - using some of the terrain from Terrain Crate 1. The timing seemed auspicious. (It was a bloodbath! Good won in both scenarios - though in the Basilean vs Goblins Light the Beacon... the Basileans won the scenario, but took a lot more damage than the Goblins who 'lost'.)

*EDIT* That hospital set... has me thinking about a scenario in an insane asylum....

How did they turn out? Does anybody here have any experience with the product?

I've got a few posts with painted bits. What I found was a lot of the PVC comes warped to hell, so I had to separate stuff into three piles - stuff I could and would knock out quickly; stuff I'd need to heat-treat before I could knock it out; and stuff that is basically too much work right now to even consider trying to repair/reset (aka I may or may not ever get around to it).

Painted stuff across a few posts here:

Good, I'm pleased they are using a sturdier PVC for this one. Hope it will make the small pieces less bendy than the first. They listened, so I'll give good credit to Mantic where it's due !

Where does it say this? Looking at that hospital set, It could be nice or just a pile of unusable garbage. Unlike others, I don't have the time or inclination to spend hours trying to reset gakky warped cheapo models. I've got too much else that deserves my time.

Gotta say - as primarily a wargamer (at least in what I'll buy terrain for) I'm finding these "dollhouse" style sets more than a little underwhelming with the predominance of chairs and beds and watering cans and plant pots. That stuff seems more diorama territory, and if you were dong a dio, you'd probably get higher quality resin bits for your details, surely? When that's combined with a price hike for not backing in the first 24, their "stretch goal added value" would have to be ker-azy for me to go in. I guess they'd prefer people in my situation to back now and pull pledge at the end?

Yeah, I want like a pure outdoorsy type set.

I'll at least back it for the EB for now and wait and see what's around the corner.

I'm sure I can get use out of the bits regardless.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

If you (understandably) only want subsets, Mantic has that option as well. :

EDIT: Repost from Reaper boards "Agreed! They mentioned a passing comment about looking into having just trees as an add-on so who knows!"

Just catching up

Stretch goals so far - these are also added to the relevant £18 sets.

Next up a generator

I'd forgotten that there is a WW2/Military set still to come. Here's whats appeared in teasers but isn't yet available.

The generator is nice and generic - it'd fit well, as Dave says, into many games and genres.

2 new sets £18 each.

And the tree face is now a separate piece.

Well that will definitely keep me in for 2 sets at the very least.

if you only want to buy a set (rather than a full Crate) just choose 'pledge with no reward' and add the required amount. You'll be able to choose the set(s) you want in the pledge manager after the campaign has finished.

The forest kit + the optional face is exactly what I wanted in an add-on kit. I'll have to add to my total, now.

That tree set and market add-on are exactly what I want. I assume I can pledge for just add-ons?

Iirc, Hellboy is 45mm tall.

What is Pick ‘n’ Mix?

Pick ‘n’ Mix is a little like a standard pledge, BUT you get to choose the sets that are included in it. This means you can select 2 x Gothic Manor, 1 x Gloomy Wood and 1 x Bleakwood Mausoleum, for example. Or you can go all modern with 2 x Two Trees Mall and 2 x Crystal Peaks Campsite. You could go completely bonkers and get 16 market stalls by grabbing 4 x Bustling Market. The choice is YOURS!

Basically, you can choose any combination of FOUR £18 Sets (as shown below and in the Optional Extras section) to create your own pledge. Even better, you will save £7 compared to the normal cost of buying four separate sets because this new pledge costs £65 - the same as a standard Crate.

How does Pick ‘n’ Mix work?

Simple! Begin by choosing the Pick ‘n’ Mix pledge level. Now start thinking about what sets you want to receive because you don’t have to do anything else just yet. When the campaign finishes, we’ll email all backers something called the pledge manager. In the pledge manager you’ll select the four sets you want to receive. Job done. Hooray!

“But wait, I want to get multiple Pick ‘n’ Mix pledges!” Don’t worry imaginary backer. If you want multiple Pick ‘n’ Mix pledges, you’ll be able to add them in the pledge manager as an additional pledge and you can choose four entirely different sets to receive. What’s more, if you’ve opted for the standard or early bird pledges, you’ll also be able to add a Pick ‘n’ Mix selection in the pledge manager as an additional pledge type too.

Please note that the Pick ‘n’ Mix pledge does NOT include a Crate to keep your sets in – however, each set will come clearly marked in its own smaller box

If you have an EB pledge and only want 1 crate and that's a P&M crate you have to swap pledge level to P&M either now or in the PM. If you have an EB and want 1 or more of the fixed set crates and a P&M crate stick with EB and add a P&M crate in the PM (you can add +£65 to your pledge now) Basically P&M costs £5 more than EB but you get free choice.

Dave, could you update the title of this thread to mention the tree sets?

I'm sure several potential backers stopped following this KS because there wasn't a tree set that could be used for generic fantasy.

Thanks!

Down a bit for the day (-$249) but still growing overall it’s slowed right down which is normal mid campaign.

The military set is coming today so that might get things moving again.

(This is a direct link to Kicktraq so numbers will update throughout the day)

4th crate added Morneville Ruins

Each set is also available for £18 or as part of the pick & mix crate.

All in pledge added any 4 crates for £200 - £50 per crate

For clarity the pick & mix crate cannot be taken as part of the £200 All in pledge it’s only the 4 crates with fixed contents that are eligible for this pledge as your choice of any 4 crates. You can of course add a pick & mix on top of an all in pledge.

You can get individual sets by pledging £18 for each and selecting no reward postage might be an issue if you only want 1 so a piggy back pledge might be better alright.
