although was there a far too early Half Life reference when the Flayer is attacking the cabin ? It's appendages looked rather like the grabby tongue things and Lucas fixes it with a crowbar

The Last Chancer Who Survived

Finished it last night, I enjoyed it. The not-terminator bad guy was a fun addition. This is probably the only show / movie where kids are the heroes that I can stand.

I love that movie, was on at my 80's cinema club a few months back, and whilst they freely admit it the Duffer lads lifted a lot from that fine movie (although they actually did manage an Octopus type thing so Stranger 1 Goonies 0 there)

The goonies was OK, but I think it came out when I was a bit older than the kids in it so I never really got into it
