Aspects and Exarchs are iconic.

Autarch is a random addition; I guess trying to emulate the 2nd edition Exarch who was maybe a bit too flexible.

Honestly the only wrath thing they could do is some kinda of Command. Maybe long range Wraithguard. But otherwise, much else will just be kinda ruining the theme they have going.

Really, they should be working on a corsair book. And some more bits of the Haliquins, They should have at least some of the tanks as a normal part of there army.
Some of the aspects could be expanded as well, Probably working out a game that brings all the aspects into use for a update would be good.

COuld also do one of the other craftworlds, Mythmera I think could do quite a cool update. Bringing in something new to all the craftworlds. And not something huge, eldar are sorta at there limit for big things for a while yet.

The problem with space marine hover tanks is it dilutes the imagery of both them and the other factions.

Instead of strong archetypes, it becomes more of a mush where everything is the same generic tacticool guy.

how does space marine hover tanks dilute the image of them?

Its not just Space Marines that he's talking about. It's the relationship between Space Marines and other factions. The Imperium has been limited primarily to ground vehicles for a long time. Sure, the Land Speeder exists but it was supposed to be that rare exception. Imo the iconic SM tank is the Land Raider. Rhino, too, although it's not really a tank.

On the flipside, other races have some flying vehicles. It sets them apart and signifies a different level of technology and a less restricted philosophy regarding science. But maybe more important than that, it's different! Different factions get different stuff. Now that Space Marines have a large flying tank, it detracts from the exclusivity of the tech, and chips away at faction differences.

And They Shall Not Fit Through Doors!!!

I also agree that hover tech being all over the place for the IOM is annoying and breaks down one of the core parts of the setting that makes 40k not just another generic sci fi setting. The IOM should be back sliding in tech, not advancing and certainly not advancing to the point that they can power hover vehicles that are larger than what the tau and various eldar factions can produce.
