Thanks youwashock and CommissarKhaine,

Did another one while waiting for parts for my next building/generator (i.e. fluids to be consumed for more bits).

Nice use of materials. Beautiful concise paintjob. I was a little skeptical about the materials at first but seeing the end product painted it looks fantastic.

Your output always amazes me Captain Brown, quality- and quantity-wise. That's some really cool terrain!

The buildings look nice! Those chopped-off sprue frames look textured somehow, very good dry-brushing.

Thank you Warboss_Waaazag, sprue rubble comes through when you have run out of materials.

Finalized another 3 metal Escher gangers. This time with red hair to contrast the blue and purple.

The 7 now finished. 8 More to go.

Seeing them together, I need to use another brown on the bottom of the bases to match.

Now I want to decide what I am going to build with this water filter. I need to get the charcoal out of it as it is pretty heavy. But I think it would make a great part of a small power plant or manufactorium.

Talk about standing the test of time. The Escher Heavies are still some of GW's best. The rest of the line has some classics, but the HPG gal is just top notch.

Fridge filter will make an awesome terrain piece, I am sure.

Nice work on the eschers, the hair colours are a good touch. The filter looks like it’ll make a good terrain piece, maybe some hydraulic ram or something?

The corner ruins are looking great. The large pieces between the ruins give a good impression of the floor having caved in and are also flat enough to be playable (the first one). If you are still determining whether to bulk up the bases, I am in favor of it. I find when I use thin bases for terrain that they can get warped over time so I have been trying to use something beefy enough to hold up.

You're on a roll, Cap'n. How many of the lovely ladies do you have left?

I like the effect of the black metal with the metallic highlights as an alternative to the standard boltgun metal with dark wash. It is a nice effect and works well to contrast the brighter colors of these models.

Entire gang so far.

As I am short on longer ranged weapons, the last two are a Leader with a Bolter and a Ganger with an Autogun.

Oh, sweet. Those last three are some of my favorites. The gal with the BP and grenade is an especially elegant model.

I‘m not the biggest fan of the old Necromunda models, but your paintjob makes them very likable. Love the hair and overall color scheme.

Thank you youwashock, Viterbi, and Heretic Tom.

I thought I should show some shots of some of the terrain I have been building recently on the table top for a game of 40K (Not enough of our group members are ready for old school Necromunda yet).

Some of the roads, ruins, scatter, etc.

Cheers,

That tables looks great. I love the way the craters on the road helps to blend it in with the terrain around it. I did some battle damage on my roads, but I didn't build it out to overlap the table next to the road like you did, which makes it a lot more realistic and pulls it together. The overall table has a sufficiently blasted and bleak look to be a great setting for a battle.

I’ve been waiting to see some of your terrain, looks very grim dark. The blasted and barren trees are a nice addition to the remains of the nearby buildings.

Started a project using the filter, in the meantime I finished some more Cawdor gang members: Leader and a Heavy.

Great stuff!

Never have I ever though about using a cassette as a piece for terrain. Seems to work great!
The 40k terrain looks neat on the board. Bet they look even better with some models trying to shoot each other to smithereens.

Good looking gangs, especially the lovely ladies. Great choice of colors.

Wonderful, I love seeing all of these old-school Munda minis getting some love. The two original metal gangs I had almost a complete set of were Escher and Cawdor, so I like your taste!

The 40K cityfight terrain looks great as well, reminds me of the Forgeworld stuff they had out in the early 2000s, and on the Realm of Battle board as well! I painted mine brown (gray rocks, bone skulls), and flocked with green static grass....which in hindsight, may have been a bit overkill. What did you do for the blasted trees? Woodland Scenics?

Thanks Fango, yes the burnt trees are Woodland Scenic pines, cut up and bent without any foliage.

Two more Cawdor finished.

Great work as usual. Love the bright red as a spot color and the green waterbottle on one of the last two models. And seeing his revolver I can't help thinking he nicked it of Hellboy

Proper old skool gangers. I never got in to Necromunda back in the day, but always loved the character of the models and how they developed through a campaign. Shame my minis budget won’t stretch to them! Still I can live vicariously through your blog!
