OK so the Covid spores (ping pong balls with needles stuck in them) are invading the village.

The plague doctors, safe in their PPE must either destroy the spores with their antiseptic potions, or herd the villagers into their homes. If the spore touches a villager it turns into a new spore.

BUT after turn 3 the villagers reemerge and attack the Plague Doctors with torches and pitchforks demanding that Ye Old Haircuttery reopen.

The Covid only stop coming when a vaccine is developed.

Game ends when everyone dies.

Just shot them dead before they can become a spore. That's the only way you'll get a chance to win at this game.

So time for a long overdue update on Reaper Land.

First off a veritable slew of Pathfinder magic types:

All pretty original and cool. Honestly, old man gesturing and dude with playing cards look good for all kinds of situations and games. I might get these in metal over bones if I do get them, but they are quite good.

I wasn't too sure about the Astrolabe, until I realized that monkey is running around turning it. That is gold right there.

And some more traditional magic types to go with it.

Some townsfolk in Bones plastic, at 3 for $9 they can be a quick way to bulk up civilian populations.

On the metal side they're doing a line called Brinewind. Pirates and seaport types it looks like.

All very well done but at $7 apiece for the fruit lady and the goose lady I'd really need some more shop keepers before ordering them.

That being said the pirate looking at his watch (which he might be using to time his cannons and calculate ranges) is really good. Worth the $9.

And finally we have Jada Twinsuns the female paladin.

If only I could think of joke involving her name and two spheres but nothing comes to mind!

So there we have it, a pretty straightforward release of bones figures and a new line. No were sharks or Russian cyborgs this time, but I'm sure a compete line of Baba Yagas outhouse, Baba Yaga's Garage and Baba Yaga's She-Shed will be along shortly.

I think it is a Bunny Mage.. which I would totally get.. it might be a hobbit or gnome, but the feet, side whiskers, and the Fez to hide the ears..

Has reaper mentioned anything about what October deals they will be doing? I usely like to stock up on paints with them every october. That and apparently we will be going the tree of woe on the 5th and that looks like it will be a fun bit of fantesy scatter terrian that will be a must buy for me.

So their is some information now on the ghoulie bags this year for Halloween i found.

The two paints that will be in the Halloween grab bag this year is:
Braaaaiins! Pink (09281) and Hallowed Orange. (Hallowed Orange was a colour this discontinued but is being brought back for the ghoulie bag.)
The mini this year is Ghost King (77161) cast in translucent blue.

If you spend 40 dollars you get the bag which has the mini and the two paints.

Brains Pink is a good one, I use it for all the tentacles on my Nurgle stuff with a wash of Druchii Violet over it.

Quite a few paints are gone (the old too many SKUs problem combined with the fact they make their own so have limited machine time/space and covid making I difficult to source some pigments)

so if any of you have go to colours from Reaper it would be worth checking if they're still around (and if not picking them up from one of the retailers that still have stock)

On the subject of paints, and I'm certain it has been asked, How do the current Reaper paints compare to Vallejo Game color and Model color?

They are fairly comparable, abit thinner to be more usable from the bottle with out needing to be thinned,

The big thing I've found that their colour selection is more geared for RPG players, the colours seem to closely match the colour schemes seen in D&D and Pathfinder artwork.

Most complaints you will see about reaper paints have to do with their old HD paint rage that was trying to replicate the old GW foundation paints.

Reaper posted an explanation of this on their forum along with a handy list of not-currently-in-production colours. It's quite a long list so I've spoilered it below.
