Nice job on that tech priest, I'm always impressed when someone picks out all the details on those models, there's so much going on. Worth the effort though, it looks great. Liking the classic necron scheme on those immortals too

Productivity has taken a hit since starting back at work :( Szeras is coming along slowly though some how I missed the mould lines on his legs and they are so awful I may strip them and repaint :((

Great look, so far. Nice aged look for the metal. The blue plates are a nice bit of extra color.

Nice WIP, lots of different metal colors to differentiate the sections, makes the model look very rounded.

Nice use of pink gut cables to match the pink-purple blood-energy.

I decided to use some green stuff to cover the lines and roughed it up a bit too to give the metal a battered ancient look, think it turned out alright, few bits to finish but pretty much done

Thanks! i watched a Vince Venturella youtube vid on blending the backside took about 2 hours and the front side (post youtube) took about 20 mins! I thought I might as well bung him in with the Immortals for the monthly challenge as a buff

For good or bad I've opted to paint daemon Mortarion for next months challenge, probably a bit too much for my rather short painting career but in for a penny in for a pound
Mortarion probably wont arrive till next week so I'm taking this time to practise some of the things I want to try out on him, NMM for one and a bit of airbrush shading.
Here is an early attempt of NMM gold on Haarken's trophy spikes, plenty more on his model to get better ... i hope.

NMM makes you appreciate metallics!!! really time consuming.

NMM is probably something I will never have the patience for Your first tries on the other hand look really good and I'm excited seeing you tackle Mortarion!

He's looking good. I like how in the earlier profile pic it looks like there are flames coming out of the jump pack.

Its definitely getting easier and quicker I might do a brief pictured breakdown of the method i've evolved into.

Great work maxwin, the edge highlighting of the black armour is amazing and contrasts nicely with the gold.

Didn't quite get finished, some of the gold looks a bit like yellow plastic so will try to improve that.

Think I've made some progress reducing the plastic look, glazed with violet and highlighted with karak stone ...

Mortarion finally turned up all ready for the monthly challenge but the warp had different ideas ... I am instead going to paint Shalaxi Helbane for the challenge and leave morty primed for possible entry next month depending on the subject.

Haarken's spear looks the business, the finished model looks ace. I liked the yellows before, but your glazing did bring it out a bit better. And dear lord, that Mortarion model really is huge

Thanks to gobert's 48h motivation challenge I managed to get well over half way through these guys, they have been sitting neglected on their sprus for over a month now.

Got Obsidius Mallex and the Master of Executions finished ...

Mallex looks suitably deranged. Nice job!

Executioner looks great, those little edge highlights on the leather band Old Malli looks good too, although a spot color in his... tentacle/alien/whatever stuff crawling over his armour might look good.

Meant to comment here sooner, Greg progress made on your mid of Chaos characters last weekend. Mallex and the Master of Executions turned out spectacular. The subdued palette on Mallex really suits the mini.

Haarken is something else! Excellent NMM on a really cool model. Hopefully Mortarion fits the theme of one of the painting challenges soon!
