Hmmm I figured out 3 core sets will make the new Warcry Catacombs board although you need to be creative at the sides as the side rooms are 5 squares wide. Very tempted to make that board.

A bit confused about the stretch goals. Do You get ALL of them with either a fantasy or Sci-Fi-fi pledge, or just the appropriate items to your fantasy or sci-fi fi pledge?

Looks like everything except for the bridges come with either pledge?

It says that you get all of the strech goal rewards in the picture with a pledge of $99 or more.

I read this as it does not matter what mix of bits you choose, as long as the amount is $99 or more.

Yeah, now I see the "Fantasy and Sci-Fi Stretch Goals" box in the add ons.

You get everything including bridges.

Note that each bridge is valued at $10 and you get both in the SG package that is valued at $20. Really if you need any extra pieces getting whole SG sets is the best way to go. In D&L 1 it ended up being 4 full sized sprues crammed with bitz plus 2 small sprues for the stairs. I'd say we're looking at at least twice that much material this time. 8-10 sprues for $20!

And done! $981,103 raised! Very close to that 1Mill goal and honestly if they'd remained open a few more hours chance are they might have made it.

Now just got to wait for dragons to appear!

Latest update gives $99+ pledgers the free dragon (even though the $1M was not reached), and a bonus He-Man parody mini for filling out the feedback form.

Archon's next KS will be a He-Man boardgame. However, I heard they only had EU rights, and CMON had USA, or something like that. We'll see.

Not super excited about the board game. I'd totally get 28mm Masters of the Universe minis as a lark, but not at the price of a full board game I'll never play.

Hoping for Rampart 3 after that. Free standing buildings are more my thing than dungeon corridors.

Rapid Delivery is $13 per order regardless of what's in the order for example multiple dungeon masters.

The Dragons default to the first one for all picks so make sure you update each one separately of you'll get 6 of the same (or however many).

Shipping cost me $20 for 2 Dungeon Master and 2 Core Sets (plus $13 for rapid shipping).

They showed the not quite $1 million dragon last update. Mixed responses about the pose but it has to fit a 50mm base like the others.

Got my shipping notification for rapid delivery items

Rapid delivery items are starting to arrive now, good stuff. Quest for Eternity or two Dungeonmaster pledges easily cover your average table. And late pledges are still available, in case anyone wants to join in.

All the digital sculpting work is now apparently done incuding these which I now kind of want to add to my pledge

Pretty sure you can late pledge for just the $20 stretch goal packs.

I dunno if they're individually worth it after shipping, although you could always wait for D&L3.

I'm putting together the Legacy SG sprue, and I'm iffy on the the plastic. It's easily cut, but that also means you have to be quite careful cutting the miniature off the sprue or part of the miniature will break off it. I did the "cut a bit off the sprue when cutting the miniature off the sprue" but still tore part of a miniature off.

The fantasy dungeon stairs comes in three pieces. The tabs needed to be further cut with the sprue cutter. Parts of the stairs came off when I tried removing it from the sprue, so be careful. There's also a seam in the middle of the stairs, so I'd need to greenstuff it, anyway. And, despite the stairs themselves being molded as two halves, I'm still seeing mold lines on the stairs.

Not a dealbreaker, because this is one of the more complicated pieces, and stairs from other companies are otherwise $5 or so each. You already get two fantasy, two sf, and one generic in this set.

Wood haven has potential but still needs work on the corner joins and the stone work has a lego feel to it at the moment.

I agree on the stone walls. The Tudor style tower looks pretty good though.

Also: the miniatures look like "true" 28mm and might be very small for today's miniatures, where 28 heroic or even 32mm are pretty much the default.

Odd to do free-standing houses in D&L system instead of Rampart system.

Agreed, it looks pretty terrible, very toy-like. Would be easier to make good designs with rampart-type systems IMO

I'm not seeing anything Rampart that's fantasy, though. D&L3 terrain can be used with D&L2, such as the stone walls.

Houses won't be free-standing with cities. They'll be connected to other buildings and roads.

I don't get the "stubs" on the bottom of the buildings, though. Here's an earlier preview:

The stubs have to be there to give the walls something to sit into if they are going to follow the D&L design the walls sit over half of one floor tile and half of another floor tile with a hole for the wall support between and clip underneath connecting both floor tiles its not a great design for full buildings where there is no second floor tile to hide the half clip edge but they are stuck with it now. You could work around it with some basing material or just use plasti strips instead to hide it. There are going to be design compromises some can be worked around some not so much it depends how much effort you want to put in.

They seem to using D&L as the basis rather than Rampart as a lot of the wall and floor tiles already exist in that format unlike Rampart which has poor IMO floor designs that don’t lend themselves to intact buildings.

I like the Tudor tiles the stone work isn’t great and needs better texture but the wall tiles from D&L 1&2 will work anyway and will make better lower floor walls although other designs might work better this just a very small sample and speaking of which D&L 2 backers will get a sample woodhaven sprue with their delivery.

Is this the start of the 2021 effect? A model KS shipping months earlier than planned when normally its the other way around ?
