Submission received, endtransmission. In the event of a tie, tie breakers will be decided in order of submission, so you have that going for you.

I also received your request for an extension, Tinker, and am in support of it.
So, let’s bump it back a week. I will be out of town next weekend, and unable to answer questions or provide support on Saturday and Sunday, but let’s make the new deadline Tuesday the 19th.

Same here or at least a link to the gallery. Thanks a lot for running this by the way.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

At this point we have crossed the "deadline" and I haven't heard anything else.
I have received entry photos from the following contestants (In order of submission):

endtransmission
Llamahead
Captain Brown
MacPhail
tinker

Congratulations on making it across the finish line! Regardless of the outcome of my judging, you are all the proud (perhaps) owners of new terrain pieces!
I will post a link to a voting thread so that you can hear from the community. (As soon as I figure out how to make a voting thread).

I don't want to call anyone out, but we did have a number of other Dakkanauts express interest in the competition early on, or throughout the thread, but have not submitted a final piece.
I'm guessing it didn't happen by the deadline. If you did finish, let me know. I want to include everyone I can. Also, if you didn't finish, just because the competition is over, doesn't mean you can't still finish your terrain. Little painty, shooting guys need stuff to climb over and shoot around!

Congratulations again, and you'll hear from me soon!

We had a good round, great entries from everyone.
And, the results are in!

Congratulations to tinker, who narrowly pulled off a win in the People's Choice vote!
tinker surpassed MacPhail by a single vote, well done.

The official judging was decided by a similarly narrow margin. I'm pleased to announce the winner of the League of Extraordinary Riveters Terrain Competition Round 35, "By the Book" is:

MacPhail!

The League celebrates the construction of terrain, and each contestant has much to celebrate in that regard. Especially, though, the League emphasizes the construction of minute details. With all the loose pages, tiles, rubble, and even the books in the bonfire, MacPhail's piece has this level of detail.

Anyone who wants more detail of my assessment or of their results, pm me and I'll send stuff along.

MacPhail is the winner of the round, and therefore the facilitator of the next round! Stay tuned!

Thanks to DJ for hosting an excellent round! And thanks also to the many great entrants... I'm glad this thing is over so I can gush a bit over the quality of the builds. I'm flattered that mine rose to the top of such a fine field.

I'll get a post up later this week about the next round, which will straddle the holiday season and hopefully give some time to be ambitious and productive. I want to find a theme with broad appeal and a low bar to entry, so stay tuned... I may need your ideas.
