RG & EC are old foes going back to the same time as IH & EC. Like literally the same time. At least the upgrade sprue would match the phobos stuff in box.

Even if you can't use the upgrades on anything in the box such a weird choice for GW to make

Can you give an example of a GW monopose kit that has 20 unique monopose models in it? The big problem is the number of unique poses is often 5, if you're lucky. In some cases it can be as low as 3, IIRC.

well, GW doesnt even sell kits with 20 models in them for 40k, so your argument is kind of moot.

Chaos space marines have 10 poses
Ork boys have 10 poses
Intercessors have 10 poses
hellblasters have 10 pose
skitarii have 10 poses

most kits of 10 models have unique poses

long long time ago I remember GW use to sell hormaganuts and termagants in the same box, use to be a 16 or 20 model kit. Tones of bits, basic termagaunt gun, devourers, small splinter like pistols (one for each hand) and a base or 2 of rippers. Really wish they would go back to a kit like that for horde armies, but GW is greedy.

I find it hilarious that you're all harping on about "Clone Models" and the such when this old CSM unit has almost every single model in the exact same position.
Spoiler:

Yeah there's some real dynamic poses there that aren't going to be repeated when you buy more than one squad
The only good part of this kit was as I've already said, Champion and Icon options.
1: "Similar pose" is not the same thing as "moulded identically pose".

2: Being poseable, you didn't have to pose them so similarly.

3: Single legs-torso piece is just a step backwards in customizeability. An option that was once there is now not.

My problem with Etb aside monoposes is that they're actually not "easy to build" at all the Blight Hauler was one of the worst models to put together because nothing fit without gaps so in the end I had to cut off all pegs and glue everything together as usual. The same happened with every "easy to build" Plague Marine. You can't put these things together properly without cutting all the pegs and extensive use of liquid Green stuff since you have gaps at very obvious places and not just under a shoulder pad like with older Minis.

I was pretty shocked at how bad the blight hauler was. The fit on that thing is horrible and the pegs should absolutely be removed to get it even close.

All the other ETB stuff I've built (which is pretty much every etb kit post 8th except for the redemptor) have been decent, though.

Haven't built much ETB, but usually clipping down the pegs rather than completely removing them seems to work wonders.

EDIT: It's still an obvious design flaw, of course, but there is a way to work around it.

even if i still bought GW products (well I do plan on getting abbadon and calgar one of these days who will be my only primaris as they look cool and are both huge as i imagine them to be) , i wouldnt buy the duplicates of new CSM because of the monopose (nor would i buy to them begin with as i do not like the new scale). with the old kits can can position the limbs and torso and easily modify anything with a knife and greenstuff. these new ones i have no interest in.

then there is the additional problem of the chaos having black legion heraldry molded in
