My advice, buy the models you like the looks of and then wait until 10th drops before you buy any books.

Playingwise you may not be buying the best/most powerful units but then you didn't buy them for how they play in the game.

At best 10th is still 6 months away. If you're attending a regular gaming session/club/store/group then you can get plenty of game time with the current rules out of that and with no idea which codex will get updated when you can get plenty of use out of a codex bought now too.


If we were only weeks or a month or two out I'd agree, but 6 months is a long time to get stuff done and its a very long time to wait for a new edition and potentially even longer if their army choice isn't one of the early ones with a new codex.
