no we can take the six dreads.... if you choose to not read the new updated rules addons thats your choice and of course you are welcome to play by those rules, howvere the rest of that do follow updates will play by them especially if we are in competetive tournaments

you chose not to that fine, but i think its best you stop saying something is illegal when we have all proven you wrong on that point.. if you dont want to play by the new rules then dont

@Drop zone, You might save yourself some aggravation by not responding to the troll. He is just trying to bait you.
Just ignore his posts and maybe the admins will ban him.

I suspect this joker is also Bloody T. Just some very sad very lonely guy hoping for whatever attention he can get, good or bad. So sad.

I think it's a cool list. It would be really fun to play with or against.

I cant tell if he's joking or not, I really hope it's the latter though... but, most jokes are funny, so I dont know...

If you take this list back to the Atlanta Games Day Rtt, I might be there too, as long as it's not within a week of Adepticon though...

I'll see how time/money is; with the way last year went, I may just hold out for Adepticon.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

@Darrian

BT has actually been fairly well behaved lately. I'd not claim anyone else was posting as burn without proof at this point, its just too insluting to equate anyone with his posts.

Ingore him and be done with it, or read 'em and laugh. Either one works just as well as the other.

@DZ

Darrian is right. Didn't you see the sign? "Don't feed the trolls!"

Lost, but i'll soon find myself!

@ BTX,

if you are ever going to play against Lord_sutekh, then get a third party to decide on the ruling, but if hes playing against someone else it shouldnt matter whether hes right or wrong. You can refuse to play against him as long as its not a tournament or anything. If the guy administrating it says its legal then its fine.

I like this list a lot. Its amazing how you can afford 6 dreanoughts for one army (that is unless you bought them like 4 or 5 years ago). I like your philosophy with the master, it seems many are doing that now.

I've had a thought as to a theme to apply to my army, which will require some conversions/modifications (and is thusly not likely to happen anytime soon): The Seven Samurai. My commander already has a samurai-style back-banner, which made me think of it. I'd arm the DCCW Dreads with appropriate samurai weapons, and all would have banners with the name of one of the Samurai on them. A few greenstuff modifications could give a Japanese feel to them.

Just an idea.

The  FAQ says otherwise. Whether or not you want to use the FAQ is up to you, but 6 Dreads are legal.

And you've gone beyond being a mindless idiot. You've rapidly entered the territory of 'person who knows what he is doing but continues just to get a rise out of everyone else'. That's the long definition for trolling.

The FAQ goes against the RAW in my rulebook, page 38 says 6 dreads is illegal, and I wrote that after the FAQ was printed.

So 6 dreads is illegal.

My rulebook says "burnthexenos is automaticly wrong" in pen in about the same place; since you've admitted to making up rules to cheat, your validity is automaticly nil.

Thanks for playing; goodbye.

Is that text printed by GW in every book? No. Do you work for GW, making rules? No. As such, your rules mean nothing to all of us.

Well, if my rules dont mean anything to you, cos thy are only written by me, then the GW FAQ means nothing to me, as it was only written by 1 person.

Get over it. Your 6 dread army is illegal.

Nope. I have actual rules, written by the people who wrote the codexes in the first place, on my side, while you have your own written rules, supported only by your own dementia.

Get over it. You're a rules-breaking troll.

I also have the written rules on my side. They were written by me. All you have is an unofficial FAQ. I have the Codex and the Rulebook!!!

Ah. Irony. Very good.

And the rules aren't on your side. The FAQ says that 6 Dreads are legal. There isn't a more cut & dry way of looking at this, proving once again that being obtuse on purpose, thereby engaging in trollish behaviour, and you should be banned.

I think 6 Dreads could be a fun army, kind of like a Space Marines Gundam Wing. I'm all for fun armies.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

First I'd like to say I was contemplating a similar list, but really this list doesn't have enough umpphh to make me happy. Then I was contemplating a list like burnthexenos, but I realized that while the first list wasn't overpowered but looks a little off with 6 dreads (old school thinking OMG 6 elite choices) I realized after my 6th landspeeder purchase that clearly 9 speeders was beyond cheesy. Then again I would never have fielded 3 whirlwinds, which I personally just don't like. Basically I gave up on this project, my hats up to those who feild it. But like others have said put half the dreads in drop pods.

I feel I have to say this... between whose list is "cheesiest" 6 dreads or 3 dreads and 9 speeder and 3 whirlwinds... I'll say Burnthexenos's list is clearly the stinkiest. Its not even a competition. BTW Burn I like your comment in one post how you mention that 6 dreadnoughts is more than some armies can handle... especially after reading your list, LMAO. I was wondering who's army could handle 12 assault cannons, and 3 whirlwinds... few armies can handle that level of abuse than with the 6 dread army.
And Burn... why are you and you alone feel that you can ignore the FAQs of GW and furhter order us to ignore them too?! Remember this is their game, their rules and their FAQs and if you don't like it... too bad, DON'T WHINE IN PUBLIC... We don't care. We might care if it was an intelligent debate but you are not presenting one and while I'm having fun taking the time to write this post, I want you to know I'm challenging you to put up an intelligent arguement. You are doing what I understand is akin to pissing in the wind. (Watch the splash!)

Don't be afraid of new things, if the game remains static it'll die.

My list isnt cheesy. Its balanced. It has shooting, movement, and close combat.

6 Dreads is beyond cheese however, as its illegal and uses the beardy traits. Powergaming, cheating scum use 6 dreads, These are the kind of people that only care abotu winning, and they should be avoided. You will never get a fun game out of them.

I can ignore whatever isnt in the rulebook. So I ignore the FAQs. You have to play by whats in the rulebook, and in my rulebook, page 38, it says 6 dreads is illegal.

The idea is that no one can handle 12 assault cannons. The only objective is to win, not to make it easy on your opponant or create a fun game.
