Like Graven said, don't feed them after midnight.

Or, this could be what happens when Stitch (of Lilo and Stitch) drops out of school and becomes a coke fiend. Emphasis on the _fiend_.

Nicely done!

@ Graven, too tired to feed them after midnight.
@Meer, agreed if Stitch was on something this is what would happen.
@ Gitz, this is only 19 points , the Oni is 13 so that would bring me to 32. Will get some paint on him soonest.

@Cam thanks buddy, your going to have to buy the Savage Wind starter set from GCT to get big red. He is quite the looker isn’t he, most of the Oni are cool looking. Personally I am going to have a hard time not buying all of them.

As you all know Gitz has infected me with the bushido bug, we played my first game the other night, and I had a great time. Good game mechanics and very cool looking models. I have also started building a gaming table and thought I would share some WIP of it.
CC always welcome, thanks for looking.

Wonderful work on the pond Yorkright. Very excited to see you working on your own board. It's definitely one of the coolest parts of the game and sets up everything else. Otherwise you might as well be playing Warmahordes. That torii gate is just wonderful.

I would consider coming up with some kind of "soft cover"... i.e. something that provides cover to the model but can still be moved through & does not block LOS. Maybe a base with a couple of trees, grass and a bush. Something like that. I don't actually have many of these myself either, and I really thing your bakemono would benefit from it.

Also, always go with your theme... make your table unique so that when people play your army they really feel like they're stepping into the world of the Savage Wave.

Lastly, you might find a little turf or some such and put it in clumps or bands around the inside of the pool bordering rocks. If you get really brave, you ca do what I wanted to do... paint coy from a top-down view, then cover the pond with "still" water effects. I bet that would look really cool.

Can't disagree - the pond and torii gate are beautiful! Cartoony but in a very solid way.

@Graven, thank you an airbrush makes those transitions easy.
@ Gitz will take all the help I can get. Trying to use items I have around the house and bitz box for my initiation into terrain. Put a little bit of flock on the ponds edge and a few flowers. Theme wise the idea is the Savage Wind have set up shop at an abandoned shrine hence the faded tori and abandoned building.
@ Wirecat thank you for stopping by and posting.
@ Dr. H thanks buddy glad you like the pond.

Thought I should post up a shot of the clan poolside, funny every time I look at my photos I see all the little thing that should have been cleaned up. Good thing these games are played at arms length, my army looks fantastic at that range.

By golly, this little critter almost looks like one of the mummified pygmy midget guys from the second Mummy movie with Brendan Frasier! Nicely detailed- great piece!

@Gitz, lol yep he is quite particular about his hair.
@Meer, I will have to go back and watch that movie again.

So here is a couple of pics of my next Oni, I am trying for more contrast with the red skin. My concern is he is looking more like a steak with a tenderizer, any CC would be appreciated.

I think your darks need to be a lot darker... more reddish black. Then bring your highlights up no brighter than a bright mid-red.

Good work.

Yeah, as Gits' said.
I've found that you can be quite bold with the contrast on red and not look unrealistic.

I would add a purple wash to the recesses, or a deep indigo. Looking brilliant thou, and the group from earlier are nice, love the table so far.

Ok so I redid the skin and darkened up the recesses. Added a little purple wash near the neck and upper chest. Better?
