Oh, if the Oathmark skellies are still big enough to be significantly larger than those, they should fit in perfectly with many historicals actually; even better. Already did a druidy Frostgrave warband using Celtic historicals some years ago; might build on that further.

Liking the look of those Revenants though. Those Oathmark undead are shaping up to be rather a great range.

Except, if they are similar in size to the skeletons, they are small as hell.

It kind of stands to reason, though: people usually have those things inside themselves, plus some other stuff

Right, but if they are not in scale with other manufacturers then everything looks odd. Especially with those of us who have decade spanning collections.

It really depends, I think, on your priorities. If your priority is to create minis for your game instead of other peoples', well, it doesn't matter much.

I mean, take GW for example, their minis aren't even in scale with their minis of the same range, FFS.

Highlord Tamburlaine holds an Oathmark skeleton next to a WA skeleton in his latest Obscurities in Miniature painting progress video, and the Oathmark skeleton looks smaller than I was prepared to believe in comparison. They might be a match for the Warlord Tomans after all.

How do oathmark dwarf torsos matchagainst oathmark human torsos?

The dwarven heavy infantry looks like it has some torsos I'd be keen to cut off and put on the legs of some of the humans if they were the proper scale with each other.

For that matter I'm assuming that all the frostgrave stuff is also the same scale as oathmark?

I hadn’t noticed that, but now I’m chortling.
Looks like a bunch of Artaxes in search of some mud.

Hmmm..

I have plenty of spare horse head bits leftover, some mud-textured paint, and some spare cavalry bases. GB’s heavy Arab cavalry come with spare torsos heads and arms... I think I just found a way to really stretch that cavalry box value.

Proof of concept for Artaxian cavalry. Make these the front row, then the diving horses next, followed by horses who don’t know what’s about to happen to them.

This might sound weird, but I think those revenants are too buff. They're not withered enough. They look like normal humans painted grey with skull-ish faces.

I wish they had gaunt, mummified limbs to match their heads, with the armor hanging onto shrunken torsos.

I agree that the contrast between the skeletal heads and muscular limbs is rather jarring. I think they would look better with some of the arms from the skeleton kit and from the Frostgrave cultist sprue mixed in to give them more of an animated corpse aesthetic. On the plus side a head swap with human heads would give you mortal troops. I’m using Frostgrave cultists and WHFB chaos warriors alongside my Oathmark skeletons in an Oathmark army and these Revenants would fit in nicely however I choose to kitbash them.

Fair point on the limbs looking a bit too healthy but that does make them more useful for kitbashing.

And given some folks recommend ghoul heads for Tolkien Orcs, some of these heads may also work for Tolkien Orcs.

This box is definitely on my “to buy” list.

They would make good dunlendings with headswaps.

Stormcast eternals

Slaves to Darkness - currently Nurgle but may expand to undivided.

LOVE those revenants! I need at least two box of them. I would be happy enough with chariot and undead cavalry...

On the other hand I'm planning to buy a box of human cavalry and use heads, weapons and shields from elven sprue in order to build light elf cavalry. Do you think will work?

Personally I'd leave it as they've promised Elf cavalry at some point.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

I thought the Oathmark models looked too cartoonish for me but I was wrong. They don't have the oversized hands and feet of GW models. They're just a bit chunky/squat.

All the humans have a ton of character in their faces, it reminds me of Battle Brothers or The Banner Saga.

I know the Elves got dunked on in this thread but they look great too. Even if you don't play Oathmark, they could make nice Rangers for DnD or Robin Hood-esque characters. Both kits.

Very charming models and fun to build. I wish they would sell an entire sprue of alternate heads.

Elves are great with a very classic(al) looking. I'm just finishing to paint them! I love Northstar's kits, they are simple to put together but give enough variety to the troops.

Ordered Bane of kings, hope it arrives soon!

Also looks like we can spot elf heavy infantry, elf cavalry, maybe dwarf light infantry (I think other glimpses of them feature mining picks, but they wear similar cloth outfits), maybe human heavy cavalry (can't tell if they're meant to be in the presently released full helmets or the full helmets seen on the maquette). I feel like I've seen art featuring all of these except for the elf cavalry before?

The human cavalry was a rare misstep in the range with the amount of copy/pasted bits, especially from a range that prides itself with cross-kit compatibility - so while it's nice to see elf cavalry in art, I'm crossing my fingers it won't feel lazy in plastic.

My guess is they are all a bit smaller than Wargames Atlantic, but I don't have any WGA to compare them to.
