Hello all, I've recently started back into 40k again, having last played 5th edition, and skipping the 6th. I've been trying to figure out all the rules for 7th edition and make a list that is somewhat alright. I was wanting to know some criticisms and whatnot on a list, please don't be afraid to tell me if something is stupid, all criticism is welcome.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do...It looks like you'd be better off running a version of Skyblight. Its all the "hotness" right now...but with good reason.

If that is not where you're going, are you able to change out the Tyrant's kit? if so, Winged Dakka'rant is the "best build" by common agreement. I run one Winged Dakka, and one "Winged Assassin" with Wings, Lash whip& Bone sword, Toxic, Thorax Hive (Electro bugs) for 240, I also put Electro bugs on the Dakka'rant as well.

I suggest you build a 2x CAD list and then toss in a Formation, that way you can maximise the use of "special rules"

Looks good. You're a might short on "Objective secured" Troops, but that is not a fatal shortage. You just spent your points on "other things". I'd take a long look at the Synapse issue, your Synapse is very durable, but you don't have much to fall back on. At 2000 you should expect enemies to have plenty of ways to scrag 4 Winged Tyrants, and if they do....problem. If you lose something big, like say the Harpies, you could solve both the Objective secured Troops issue, and "backup Synapse", by tossing in 3 Broods of Warriors (2 for sure, a third takes scrounging) You lose a lot that way, but gain a fair bit as well....

I could drop Harpies for warriors, but wouldn't the warriors have trouble keeping up with all the flyers anyway in terms of synapse range, as they'd have to walk vs. flying across the board. Warriors are also more vulnerable to ID than the Harpies, and aren't flyers so are easier to hit as it is.

You bet, but what you get is Synapse, and Harpies don't have that. I'd camp the Warriors on Objectives (Objective secured! ) and you have both mif-field, and backfield Synapse covered.(You can snipe with Strangle Cannons, fishing for pin results, so they provide support while camping)

IB fails tend to "fall back", so they naturally come into the mid-field Synapse bubble, problem solved. Then you can walk the bubble foward if possable, and you have a Objective Secured Troop doing the walking.
