Is there a place where I can view the rules for the ETC? As I recall it works similar to the ATC but with more players per team. But, you know, USA USA USA!

How does individual pairing work on ETC, i remember as there some sort of defender-attacker format but i can't find it in the rules.

I don't know anything official, but my (somewhat educated) guess is that as super heavies, they were thought to be too big a change in the meta. ETC did, afterall, vote weather to use 7th edition at all or stay in 6th for another year. If knights were allowed, every team would need a counter for them.

Obviously this all depends on how the matchups shake out. But I don't think usa's army compositions match up that badly with Germany.

The US team lost it in the 3rd pairing when Germany offered up their Guard army and US countered with Justin Cooks Tau. Though the Americans could control the matchup they lost the game 20-0. Either something happened in the game or Team USA didn't understand the matchup they walked into.

I don't understand... are they still playing 6th edition? It's good that Imperial Knights shake up the meta, or do they want to keep playing 6th until 8th?

Sorry was out last night!

Yes I played for England the last 3 years, couldn't make it this year as I'm currently serving in the RAF and doing my training.

As for the result, it was a draw as expected. Namely lack of being able to deal with such extreme lists. The Serpents list would require our marines which means we wont have anything strong to deal with that tau list. Ravenwing may of been tabled so too risky, meaning its gone forward with choice of an open board. Daemon list only has our crons or GKs but they probably preyed on something. Crons and Guard we can deal with, but leaving us without a hard counter to the nids.

Thing is, when you use up one of your hard counters to one extreme, another becomes a problem. Most of their lists were similar in terms of effectiveness in what they are out to achieve, such as horde or mass firepower. Some lists are designed to deal with that, but not all of them.

In the end it was a draw so hopefully England can keep up their game as to win, they can't get a draw or a loss now. When we won 2 years ago we didn't get a draw till the 4th game so it puts us on the back foot early.

Can you have a word with the England lads about taking a leaf out of ze German's book in terms of coverage too!?
