Top left.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

It's supplied with the new Macrocarid..

Hmm, I'm not sure if the size is especially indicative of the size of weapon the Mymidons themselves would carry, only of the shape, although I think Mymidons probably could carry that anyway seeing as they can carry the huge Irad cleanser.

Take lascannons- the lascannons on a Land Raider sponson are massive compared to the lascannons carried by Space Marines, but they are the same weapon in stats.

Here's a pic of some myrmidons with irradiation engines reclaiming a mauler pattern bolt-cannon.

Note how slim the irradiation engine is and consider that the macrocarid graviton imploder has a larger side-on profile and is also cylindrical.

I'll post another comparison pic when my first macrocarid arrives.

Regarding the free shipping voucher, this doesn't work out great if you live in Norway.

If you spend more than £ 250, then your package will be handled by UPS, they determine the added Norwegian VAT and handling fees on the day the package arrives to Norway. Then it's sent to you, and you receive a bill a couple of weeks later. The whole process takes about a week.

If you use the free shipping voucher, you'll receive the Royal Mail standard service, which is probably okay if you live in the UK or EU (or both ). If you live in Norway, however, this means the package is handled by the Norwegian Posten (the equivalent of Royal Mail in Norway). What follows is... a... lot... of... waiting...

Posten is notoriously bad and ill-suited for handling packages arriving from abroad. Calculating added VAT ought to be a simple task, which you'd expect they could do on the day of arrival, but that's not how Posten does things. What Posten actually does, is a complete mystery to me, but sometimes it takes them nearly two weeks to do it. That's a two week delay, right there, and if you live in Norway, you know what comes next. Not only is the flat handling fee expensive, at approx. £ 15, they charge you when you come to collect the package, almost as if they want to rub it in.

Tiger Shark redesign. Apparently going to be released early next year. Found on Facebook in the Warhammer 40k: Tau Empire group. Yes, it makes both variants.

I'm not really sure what to think of this (or the Barracuda redesign, which i've only just found out about). There isn't anything necessarily wrong with them and there are plenty of great details added, but something about it overall just doesn't have quite the same feel as the previous ones to me. It's like it's lost some of the sleekness in some areas, mainly the engines now being fully forward facing and seeming to be thicker, it sort of makes it seem a bit lower tech looking. It's still an awesome model and it's great to see the Tau getting some 'new' stuff.

I like the new Barracuda way more, but I can barely tell the difference between these two mostly just the heavy railcannon from the Ta'unar and the Ion Blasters from the Barracuda.

Makes me want to see an updated Manta.

This just popped. Via FW bulletin.

If you were at the Warhammer 40,000 Open Days, you might have seen a new weapons system coming soon for the Deredeo pattern Dreadnought. Already blessed with some pretty powerful guns, this new Lascannon battery adds some vehicle-obliterating firepower to the Deredo’s armoury, take a look…

You may have seen on the Forge World Facebook page that the Warhammer Community is coming soon. There’ll be more on this later this week, but you’ll soon have a new destination for all of your Forge World news!

Come back later this week for more news!

I wonder if this means that from now on we'll have to visit that community website to catch all them news and bulletins/blogs will be gone.

Man I hope so. Having to scrounge between several forums/blogs/facebook groups to keep up is kind of annoying. Even the GW FB groups suck since they don't archive it and also I hate going on Facebook for anything other than Dogspotting.

There'll still be rumor sites for sure, though.

That is pretty large. I reckon you could position it like the plasma mortar on the Thanatar automata and it would look pretty cool. I suspect that the version carried by Mymidons normally is smaller, but the same shape.

What's different is the cockpit. Its a lot thinner now that it doesn't open for the internal details. That's why the rest of it looks so thick.

The cockpit is slightly different, but that is less because of the width of the cockpit and more because while the old version steps down a couple of narrow "terraces" towards the wings, on this one the gun mounts are dropped a level, which then rises for the intakes. Also, the engine blocks are far less swept back and slightly taller, and the wings are not quite as curved. And it looks like it has a pair of those defensive drones added. I quite like it. The old one has more of a Halo Covenant aesthetic, while the new one is clearly the same plane, but done in more of a Zeon look.

Here's the old one for comparison

Do we have a proper size comparison of this bad boy yet? I saw the original mock up, which was smaller than a Cerastus Knight, but a painted model looked way bigger than the ones next to it.
