Well to get my beastman army done for Adepticon, I needed to do big models and not a lot of them.  That being said they don't get much bigger in a beastmen army than the Minotaurs.  I spent a lot of conversion time on these, as I wasn't real happy with how old the GW sculpts look, as virtually all of the new beastly units have long flowing hair.  So I added details with super sculpey and GS and choice Ogre bits.  That and I wanted them with great weapons also.  So here the are:

Wow ! Pretty old school.

edit: Do They only kill guys with hair longer then theirs ? I mean an ork with hair that long deserves a quick death, just recognized.

another edit: Oh it is a combined trophy actually vampire hair.... still damn long hair.

Those look great PPC ...

I really like the way you painted the skin tones ... The NMM is an interresting technique, kind of Confrontationish in the tones ... It is probably really effective for painting so many models in such a short period of time ...

That is one of the things that always amazes me about your work, high quantity and high quality ... keep it up ... and good luck at Adepticon ...

I really dig these boys. Pretty intimidating to look at! I was most impressed the the painting on all of yer models at adepticon, top notch. I still hate minotaurs with feet though! That's a crime against nature if you ask me. So what's next on the agenda?

Really nice, very smooth blending on the skintone.

And that's a really big axe...

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

Thanks for the kind words...guys I had a lot of fun with these.

crisis: Thanks man. Adepticon passed already. Congrats on your LA Demon win. And yes, this was a cool effective technique worked fairly well using 5 VMC greys, brown/yellows, with 3 paint washes. Base the mid range, filled the pallette with watered down darks and lights each way and go at it. 90+ models in 8 weeks paint wise.

skrewdriver: Thanks for the practice game. Much appreciate, can't even tell you broke the Bloodkine eh? No big deal though, it was my fault, I get going so fast sometimes that I forget to pin things. I understand the feet, that's why the bloodkine has sculpted hooves to match GW's two handed ones. Next will probably be Knightgors then beastly 40k maybe.

Kid_K: Here you go...

I'm really enjoying your posts on this army PPC - beastmen have never really been my thing, but yours are fantastic.

Any chance on a tutorial on how you do your NMM axes etc?

These conversions are fantastic.  The long hair makes me thing of "Where the Wild Things Are," not really sure why it just does.  Totally awesome.

Got any pics of regular beastmen (gors, ungors, etc?)

Maybe after I get done with my moving into a new place. Essentially I modified the techniques used by boltman in his Juggernaut article to fit my style for painting armies.

Super Sculpey. Works well on metal minis since it needs to be baked.

Got any pics of regular beastmen (gors, ungors, etc?)

IT'S HIS OWN FLESH!

Do not use the CLEAR dice!

Dear Whiny Space Marine Players,
you get 3+ armor saves on all your troops (save scouts), Assault cannons, a huge assortment of vehicles and weapons, arguably one of the best if not THE best tank in the game, funny helmets, and a partrige in a pear tree.

suck it up, space marines. You're the emperor's chosen superhuman warriors. stop whining like a guardsmen and take it like a superman!
