Hello all!
Had a great time on Saturday with the 40k tournament at Borderlands Comics and Games. We had 24 attend, including a contingent from Columbia, SC, and I believe the only army that wasnt represented in some form was Sisters of Battle. Our format was 2000 points, 2 sources, codex Lords of War only. The results:
Best Overall: Matt with a Suit Heavy Tau List - sooooo many shots, and Kroot, when used to their potential can win you some games
Best Imperial: Blake with a Guard/Space Wolf Pod army - players were very surprised when Daemons were being summoned out of Drop Pods (funny that he won Best Imperial, that heretic!)
Best Xenos: Adam with one of the most gorgeous Tau armies I have ever seen; it was the first perfect paint score that has ever been earned at Borderlands, to my knowledge
Best Heretical: Horton with Chaos Daemons - soooooo many models
Best Appearance: Eric with Salamanders/Guard - around 50 marines with all of them converted
As always, criticisms/comments/snide remarks are always appreciated. PM me or post em here. Thanks for coming all!

Heya!
Just to let everyone know, we are close to full. Please call the store at 864-235-3488 to reserve your spot ASAP. We will take alternates as well, as there is always someone who cant make it on tournament day.
Also, had two questions that I want to answer for everyone:
Do unit dataslates count as a source for the two source limit?
No. They count as from the corresponding force org slot from their respective codex as they arent a formation, just a unit.
Does the Assassin codex count as a source?
Yes, as the only way to legally field assassins are in formations, which count as a source.
Thanks guys!
