So, I first read IA11, in which it was 320 points, and where clearly 2 Lynx would be a zillion times better than one Cobra or Scorpion (520 /620 I think).

They've since upgraded the cost to 420 points, which looks a bit more in line with the others.


1. Is it still more interesting to get Lynx over Cobra / Scorpion ?

2. Overall, is it better to have a mix of these ?

3. Pulsar or Sonic Lance ?

Go with the Lynx it seems like the best one especially if you give it a sonic lance and scatterlaser. The sonic lance is decentbut when you add the 20 point scatterlaser it gets rediculous, as long as you hit with one shot the rest of the weapons are twin-linked so you get the hellstorm twin-linked allowing you to re-roll the 3+ to wound as well as the two separate attempts to penetrate tanks, thanks to being a primary weapon, giving you 4 attempts to penetrate each tank you hit with that big ass template.

Correct, but god help anything with a single wound and no invul.

I have one, and have used it at maybe 3-4 tournaments in the past year.

It's terrible for me. Av11 and running a tank/gunline hurts. It always gets shot first, blows up, scatters onto my other stuff. I'd take two Wraithknights instead anyday.

But aside from that...It's a great looking model (once you straighten the gun out) and is a solid way to add a superheavy without it becoming the majority of your list.

I had not seen Av11, did not even expect that to be possible.

A lot of the Eldar FW profiles are just dumb.

How can you have such big tanks and not AV14 already I don't know.

Supposedly the Lynx has the same armor as the Hornet. Yeah. Uhm maybe not ?

FW seems to think that giving an Eldar vehicle better cover saves makes up for having lots of armour.

Just look at their poor 10/10/10 flyers.

I got two of those beautiful models.
Never going to field them though, at 150+ points for AV10 .. sure whatever, I'd rather ally space wolves or necrons if I want planes.
