From my understanding, a magic weapon is considered as a hand weapon for game play purposes, but it cannot use a regular shield for a parry save and vice versa. But can I get a parry save if both items are magic equipment? I would like to say I can, but then I would like to be sure before I start cheating by accident.

Top of page 502 of the main rulebook, the second pip. Note that it doesn't specify a magic or non-magic/mundane hand weapon- it just says "hand weapon".

So the short answer is- no, you can never use a magic shield for a parry save (unless you happen to have a rule specifically allowing it).

Cheers!

The only item that I can think of that overrides this is maybe the Shield of the Merwyrm in the HE book.

Many thanks for clearing that up for me!

I was told yesterday that the only restriction for the parry is the hand weapon, but not the shield. So, if I have a magic shield can I still parry? Hand weapon + Charmed/enchanted Shield for example.

They were wrong. Read the bullet points on pages 501 and 502 for magic weapons and magic armour.

You can only claim a parry save if you have both a mundane hand weapon and mundane shield, unless the magic item says otherwise (the High Elf shield comes to mind).

I suggest you don't believe anything posted by thedarkavenger unless confirmed by other regular posters here at Dakka. He has shown he is incapable of basic English comprehension.

Yup. Just check p.502. The answer lies within.

...though it's all stupid. Just give me my effing Parry save.

It is stupid, and makes absolutely no sense at ALL.
