Hey there. So, I have 3 old rhinos. They can become battlefield rubble.... or I can try and use em for something. I was thinking about trying to turn them into chimera equivalents. Any one seen this done or doe it yourself? I have several old pred turrets that I can use..so no worries on that part. Any ideas, pics, suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ender502

Not a bad idea malfred! I'd like to see that.
You could also slice the tracks off (or simply give them a permanently-immobilized look), cut some slits in the sides, and use them as bunkers. Personally, I use my old Rhinos as Rhinos...

I really should snap a pic, but I converted an old pred into a pred destructor, but with leman russ tracks. An expensive conversion, but it looks very unique.

No. No drop pods. I have other plans for that. Mauleed- I believe I actually saw a pic of that a long time ago. I think it was with the reverse leman russ and/or the double track russ of your ultramar pdf forces. That was a while back so I may be mistaken. Ok, I'll start slicing one up today and see how it goes. If it starts to look even vaguely interesting I will turn the other two into chimeas as well. If not... it is battlefield rubble time! I'll have to post a pic and let yall berate me further. I have about....0.... modeling skills. ender502

I was toying with making chimerae out of 'em. If you can get the old pred. destructor turret and sheet-styrene up some new sides, I think they'd make decent (albeit small) chimerae. How about Salamanders? Or Ork vehicles?

A buddy of mine sent a really cool Whirlwind conversion to me once. Looks like an MLRS launcher.

old rhinos....hmmmm let me ponder on this really quickly... . . . . . . . . . Put two together with tracks on the sides (like normal just wider),retune the tracks with a order of the Leman Russ sprue, plasticard a new skirt and side panels/roof and +/- a few odds and ends and make it a custom pattern Land Raider. Easy. Use the last one as terrain.Like that you get happy on both ends

here's my rhino to chimera conversions, I used old rhinos and old SoB immolator turret bits. Just a rhino hull between Chimera treads, nothing fancy. For another one I added a heavy bolter coming out of the hull.

BTW If you're going to use them as rubble sell them to me instead, I'll find a use for them. I love the old rhino it's like a blank canvas to work with, the new one is too set in its ways.
