Hi All,

I am just after what you all use to transport your Termigant/Hormagaunt models (or similar horde kind of units)?

The reason I am asking is today I have purchased a new carry case to store and transport my MC and Tanks and came accross the issue that I have way too many models to slots in cases.

What I have is 1 citadel case (3 sheets of 27 infantry slots), 1 Citadel tool case (something like 40 ish infantry slots and 3 large squares that can hold Rhino sized tank, 1 Bunnings 500x300x200 (ish) case with 3 40mm foam trays and an egg foam padding on top, 2 old watch carry case, holds 4 40mm ish foam trays 1 is cut for infantry the other I can buy foam for (as I don't have it yet) and cut to spec.

I was thinking of maybe getting some 20-30mm thick foam and cutting infantry slots similar to the GW cases to hold the 100+ gants/gaunts I have.

If anyone else has other methods I'd love to hear them.

I suppose the other alternative is a big plastic contaner and just toss them in

I have the same issue. I don't need a whole other carrying case just for a horde of 3$ models. Just line them up in a box and put paper in bewteen the layers. Some GW boxes are well sized for this purpose.

I use a bucket.

Seriously, if you varnish them well enough and aren't mashing them down on each other it will be okay.

Bucket 'o Nids and Bucket o' Orks. Odd looks and hilarity ensue when I pull them out. FYI larger models, special units, metal figures, and character models I put in foam cases but the rank and file aren't too special to be in the bucket brigade!

I don't own Tyranids. My friend who does has a simple cardboard box that houses all of his 20mm base-sized Tyranids in a loose pile. They're all plastic, and if you're priming and protecting your paint jobs properly, this is sufficient.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

When people ask, "What's the point in understanding everything?" they've just disqualified themselves from using questions and should disappear in a puff of paradox. But they don't understand and just continue existing, which are also their only two strategies for life.

I've got a couple of the pre-cut battlefoam trays for my gaunts and gants. The overflow have magnets on their bases and I put them in a metal box.

I use regular old egg cartons. You can fit 24 gaunts per carton, and it's about as cheap as it gets!

I use plastic fishing equipment boxes and tool boxes for my rank n file guardsmen. Larger plastic containers are actually great for IG vehicles.

I used a box that I magnetized the bottom of and a ton of magnets for all my troops. Holds them enough to not slide around, but they are still easy to pull off.
