Subject: Partially Armoured Space Marines?

Khorne Rhino Driver with Destroyer

Hi!
I've been thinking about my Lord for my World Eaters being partially armoured, from the waist up, Tellos style but im not sure how to go about it. I have noticed in researching the parts I could use that there aren't really that many beefy, bare-chested models that would fit power armoured legs. yeah there's Strakan and Harker (which are metal so that'll be fun) maybe the Chaos Warrior Chariot driver but that's really about it. For the look im going for he really needs to be massive, which the usual choice of Marauder torso wouldn't fit as Im not sure there's enough space to show off his physique ( im planning on doing a triumph rope).
I have thought about green stuffing it but I've never used it before so im not sure how good it'll come out.
whatever choice I go for, there's the added question of whether or not to sculpt on all the power armour ports and such.
what do you guys think? im willing to give GS'ing it a go but im not sure how to go about it.
also on a side question if GW did do bare chested Space Marines (or chaos marines, lets not be biased) would you buy them?
any help would be amazing!

There is this. It was a golden demon entry I believe. The catachan box has some bare torsos. They might be roughly marine sized.

I've had good success with the fantasy Chaos Marauder torsos. You need to do some greenstuff work to get it to all match up but it works out reasonably well imo.

Just keep in mind that the pack has the power source...So power armored legs without the backpack may be a little goofy. Still up to you though!

@Snrub -- I love that photo
Very Iron Man!
@troa -- that's what the Arc reactor is for, of course.
However, the backpacks are a very iconic part of space marine gear. I mean, it gets forced on to models where backpacks don't make sense (like cloaked space marines). I don't think it would be right to have a space marine sans backpack

Someone on Dakka has a Scottish themed chapter with bare arms, iirc.

Fixed.
Just couldn't stop thinking of the family guy episode, with the right to bear arms.

What about lighter armour to hold the pack in place then?

@Snrub- I love that Diorama!
I got the idea for the bare-chest from reading the Soul Drinkers omnibus, the description of tellos sounded so good in crimson tears. the visual image of him is quite powerful and its a statement about the character

Nope. In this case "bare" is the correct spelling. Seeing as his arms are naked.

Nice find, Cadian! Here is a link to where they announced this in N&R, if anyone wants to follow / see when it becomes available:

However, this thread is 3 years old, and we ask folks to only post in current threads (usually within a few months old). So I'll lock this one up...
