Hi,

i am not sure if this should go here, if not can someone please move it ?

Does anybody know if a company makes 28mm 'Aliens' Figures (from the films 'Aliens')

Cheers

ALIEN models tend to run bigger scales. You can easily convert ALIEN models and PVC figs into larger nids, but strealers, et al, ...I've not seen much to work with.

Ironically, you can get a spectacular 28mm model of the ALIEN APC, and even the shuttle (well close enough), but not aliens or troopers.

Oh, dear God.  YEARS, years ago, some company did up some models for "Aliens" and I picked up the Queen Alien w/ Pods.  They had some Warriors and some Marines.  I think they also had a Aliens RPG that went with the models.  But for the life of me, I'm not sure what the company was.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I still have the plastic box that the Queen Alien came in.  When I get home, I will see what I can find out for you.

Wish me luck.

This doesn't really answer your question, but I think you might enjoy:

I forget the creator's dakka-handle, but some damn fine work that deserves another look

That's Necros, a guy near me. Fantastic army.

I'm buying it if he ever sells it.

Leading Edge games used to offer a 25mm Aliens game back in the early 90's. Figures can be found here:

Although the figs are showing their age it appears that they have fortunately been picked up by another company:

The miniatures were actually realeased to compliment a boardgame. Details and downloadable rules can be found at the next few links:

basic rules:

expansion rules:

I only played a few times back over a decade ago but it was a decent enough game from what I can recall. Either way the price for the rules fits my budget.

There was also some british company in the early 90s that did a thinly veiled aliens rip off, narrow tunnels, vicious clawed alien monsters, can't remember what it was called though... Space Juggernaut?

In the late eighties early nineties, a company by the name of "AEF" made some fabulous resin models (1:72) they can be found occasionally on ebay.

These were the best models ever produced for aliens, in that scale range. The company even had a limited supply of a scale "Nostromo" which used to cost around $500 at that time. I saw one for sale on ebay 3 years ago, and the price hadnt gone up one bit. But then again, the knowledge of that model is pretty esoteric.

Did RAFM do some Colonial Space Marine types, or am I thinking of Leading Edge?

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

This model I got when I was very little, I still can not remember how I got it, but it was a piece of crap. I used the head for my queen in my nid army and I trashed the rest.

Opps.

Thanks for getting that stuff up, guys.  I had my parents in town and it got lost in the shuffle.

Those models are what I was talking about.  Matter a fact, I have the Queen Alien.  Not that great a model, but I do have it.
