Random fun little list (draft), just shows the kind of ideas I'm liking. Looking to start an ork army and im trying to come up with a "core" that I like, so I can start collecting. You can probably guess the core, from the list lol. Blasty ork crazyness.


HQ:
Big Mek - eavy amour, KFF = 89
Big Mek - eavy armour, Shokk Gun = 89

TROOPS:
10x ShootaBoyz - +Rokkit, Nob - PK and boss pole = 115

Mekboy Junka - Ram, 3x Rokkits, 'eavy plates, 2xGrot Bomms = 130
5x Tankbustas - boss nob, bosspole = 80 < Riding in Junka with the KFF Mek
3x Grot Tanks - 3xGrotzooka, red paint, Kommanda with extra Rokkit launcher = 165

FAST ATTACK

I would usually plan for a 1500 list, so I have 50 spare points still in the draft.

The Junka will get a 5++ save, and be able to fire 8 rokkits still even when the two Grot bombs are done with. Thats 22 rokkits in the list. Overkill lol, but sounds funny.

Also three S8 AP2 blasts from the gunz, and two SAG ordnance and two killcannon ordnance. Plus the 2 big ordnance from the grot bomms, but thats 2 per game not per turn.

I am tempted to try and squeeze this into the Ghazkuul detachment FOCΒΆ, as it means I could take a 4++ inv save forcefield, instead of a 5++. But I can only have two HQ then, so I would need to drop a SAG mek (which would be a shame) or add a second FOC meaning more troops.

Alternatively I can use the Boss Magruk formation as an addition to get the extra meks for sags (and then an additional in ghaz for the 4++), but that will leave me with a spare mek, a spare warboss, and a spare weirdboy. Probably will be a way to make use of them though. But not many spare points. Maybe in a bigger game.

Any thoughts would be appreciated I'm aware orks are commonly means to be a horde army but I would rather run a kan list vs a horde of cheap boyz... but this list is avoiding kanz because they arent very good apparently lol. The grot tanks are fun though.

Both Junkas have 2 GrotBomm pie plates, and 8 rokkits, and 5++ saves.
The grot tanks and the grot mega tank also have 5++ saves. (Not sure if the grotzookas are the right choice, the weapon balance on these will need tweaking obviously.)
The Shokk Mek and the lootas can stay backfield.
Spanna boy, dreads, and grot tanks all wobble their way forward.

The Lootas will be vulnerable. I would put them in a stationary vehicle to protect them. If not they will be targeted and broke in the first or second round.
