What Joe said. Nice colour scheme, but I can't help feeling like you're about to throw wash or a highlight or something on top.

That aside, nice work on some of the chitin.

Thanks for comments. I agree that the grey need shades but I dont know how to proceed. The grey I used is codex grey. How to shade it?

Buy some fortress grey.

Then to start mix 50/50 codex grey/forterss grey and apply to more raised areas, then repeat with straight fortress grey on the tips of raised areas.

Add more steps to make for more smooth layering as you become more proficient.

Layer it, don't drybrush it.

Then add in other blending colours like skull white for more extreme highlights.

Then after 10-12 layers you get something like this (which I prepared earlier)

Thank you for the tips, I appreciate it. I will try to practice this on my next project (stealers or raveners). Im still not sure how I will do shades on round pieces like a tail, but I will try to do something nice.

My girlfriend peeked when I was checking these out and she liked them a lot, though didn't care for the huggy third warrior ...

That said, I agree on the nice sheme, though I was distracted by a couple nasty moldlines and the glossiness of the 'nids.  Did you gloss varnish them?  Or is your paint just really shiny?  Otherwise, keep up the good work.

I used the ardcoat gloss varnish spray.

The picture wa taked with a flash on the camera so it add a shiny effect on models that are already shining. Next time, I wont use the flash option.

If you're not using the flash, make sure that there's plenty of light from diffuse sources.  Barring that (and assuming you can get the shutter to stay open longer), make sure that the camera is sitting on something; holding it in your hands results in a blurry picture.

Good luck!

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1
