I play Sisters of Battle, and I like tech marines. (My degree is mechanical engineering). So I wanted to make a Canoness counts as 'tech sister' or Sister Technicas as I have decided to call her. I have done a previous attempt, but was unhappy and never painted her. Here is the mkII pre paint. I hope to start painting soon.

Hard for me to make out any details with such high contrast, but her profile looks great, at least. Looking forward to seeing her with some paint!

Most excellent, it certainly makes sense to me!

Nice. So you'd be using straight Techmarine rules or something homebrewed? (I like homebrew.)

Well, if you check out Sister Sydney's homebrew/expansion rules, you'll find all kinds of units the Sisters could have, that fit with the theme of the Sisters (as a tabletop army) perfectly well, and are damn-near-perfectly balanced.

I’m updating that fandex now & I’m eager for feedback on new home-brew units for the Sisters: Sororitas Bikers, infiltrators & Novices, tanks, flyers, characters, superheavies, Frateris Militia, and now Confessors and Battle Conclave characters

I am going to play her as a Cannoness w/ combi melta, power axe (the claw) and the twin linked armor save cloak (a personal force field).

The full plan is to buy this:

• Canoness: The Cloak of St. Aspira; power axe; combi-melta; rosarius 125
• Sororitas Command Squad: 4× heavy bolter; Hospitaller 115
• Immolator: twin-linked heavy bolter 60

But model it as a:

• Sister Technicas (SOB tech marine) combimelta; personal force field; Servo arm
• 4x servitors w/ heave bolters, servitor with a force field generator,
• sororitas engineering vehicle.

Any suggestions or room for improvement?
Anything I missed?
Do the Servo Skulls 'work'? (look like they are hovering there)
How are the metallic surfaces? I did not use any metallic paint, yet would not call it NNM

Nice claw. Nice dozer blade. Darn it, that makes me want dozer blades to DO something more than just reroll failed dangerous terrain tests: in real life they can dig trenches, destroy obstacles, even clear mines.

This is fantastic!

I really think the Fleur de leyes mounted on a cog is such a clever idea.

Semi final pictures of the whole unit. As with the rest of this thread, pictures are from my phone with no special lighting.

The Sister Technicas is made from a Seraphim with a reaper head on her, a normal backpack with a techmarine claw on it, the servo skulls are from the space marine devistator squad. Combi Melta from a friends bit box, she is from quite a few sources.

The Shield Servitor is made out of a cultist with some bits on him.

The Heavy bolters on two of the Servitors came from the devastator box set

The Engineering Vehicle large claw arm is something from my bits box, the leg to some forgotten walker. The dozer blade is two doors from the rhino kit cut at angle and glued together. The Sister Technicas emblem is two different charms from Hobby Lobby with the rings cut off and glued together to make the emblem. I made the turret out of one of those rounded bases for war machine with some bits from the tank sprews glued on top.

I especially like the dozer blade -- it looks like a real combat engineering vehicle.

I have made some minor tweaks to the Sister Technicas, I think she is done. I have adjusted the angle of her right arm so she looks more comfortable holding her bolter up like that. I have also replaced the Aspecs with one from the Space Marine Tactical box, it is in the left hand and so I was able to have more detail.

Thanks for reading/looking.
