I am looking through the Ork Codex and I see some potential and I would like to know some good ork units. Please include how many and what they are armed with, thanks.

All are good depending on the rest of the list. Probably except for kanz cause they're footslogging overpriced walkers. Though, mandatory for dreadmob.
It's also hard to justify Zaggy. Not that he's bad but he doesn't add much for the points. And badrukk + flash gitz are quite overpriced for my taste but still usable.

Search for the long ork thread - it's around page 3 now.

Even Kanz can be great. At their price they can be taken in modest numbers, and they are often over-looked considering the rush of "greater" threats like MANZ and Tankbustas.

At that point, even a couple surviving ones assaulting will just ruin the day of many, many units.

Yep, that's basically the same mechanism that makes grots work. At some point they're so bad - it's good!

I'm guilty of using Kanz far more often than I should...they are too fun, despite their cost. Still, F11 keeps small arms fire at bay, and they can still be scary to the ill equipped infantry groups, as you have said. They can also frighten most vehicles too with their klaws. While no longer king of walls, they can still cause some chaos if let loose and played wisely.

Why do you say killa kanz are mandatory for dread mob list? Kanz are fast attack for the dread mob, which is a rather cluttered slot. Grot tanks and grot mega tanks are both fast attacks, and the grot tanks seem to be a more efficient use of points. There's also deffkoptas in there too.

Unless you thought kanz were troops? Which tbh I think they should be, but instead its deff dreads that are troops in a dreadmob.

I looked for the long ork thread in the first few pages but couldnt spot it.

Um, because Dreadmob Formation requires you take exactly 9 Kanz. :-p They're mandatory... because they're.... um... mandatory. :-p

Ahhh you meant the dread mob formation. My mistake. I assumed you meant the dread mob army list. Somewhat confusing.

Saying that there's actually two different "dread mob" formations. GW really should have named them something different.

the bully boyz formation is a must. I load 3x 5 man squads of them and put them in trukks.

Also tankbustas in trukks and or battle wagons.

Also warbuggies with twin link rokkit launchers

Are you goingto be playing them or playing against them and just investigating what the enemy might bring, CKO?

Hold out bait to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and then crush him.
